I finally scored a U.S. NTSC boxed Family Fun Fitness pad!! It even came with a complete Athletic World in perfect shape! All for $18 total. I got it off of eBay from a lady who put it in the Toys category rather than the NES category.

I'm gonna post pictures of it either Friday or Saturday evening. If I'm not able to by Friday evening, go ahead and ask me for pics. I want to share this with everyone. I have had so much trouble finding ANY information at all on the U.S. version (let alone pictures). I know, I know...I need to buy the Digit Press guide...and I will..SOON :D

For now, below is the link to the auction for the pad I bought.

I was also wondering if anyone could confirm that the Athletic World game pak included with the Family Fun Fitness pad was originally sealed. ANY information that can be provided on the U.S. version will be greatly appreciated, as there is too little information on the product.

Also, I thought it was interesting to see a section on the back of the FFF pad box an advertisement for 2 upcoming FFF games: Stadium Events and Aerobics (or something like that, I don't have the box here at work!). I'll also take a picture of this to post.

Comments, memories, stories, info, production #'s - I'm looking for anything about the FFF you can muster. @_@ Get to work!

That's a cool item....Congrats.

It may have been cheaper for them to just slap a bare cart in the box.

Check to see a place in the box that would hold a boxed cart..when you get it.
I'd like to see more pics of this item..

I have a Boxed Athletic World cart..I bought it sealed,, from Kmart for $5.00..I know the cart was sold seperately.

After a little work, I finally posted my pics online for all to see...unfortunately I had to do it through Geocities since it was FAST and FREE. So let me go ahead and apologize for the popups. Also, the pics didn't come out as big as I had hoped. If anyone wants a bigger or even different pic let me know. I'll be happy to oblige.

Here's the site with the Family Fun Fitness pics...AS PROMISED!

After you've looked through them, if someone could tell me if that black dot sticker should be there on the Athletic World box. It really looks like it originally came with the game. Maybe it was a Bandai thing?? I know Nintendo would never have done such a thing...

ENJOY!

Almost every NES game released in Europe has the black dot sticker. In fact games weren't sealed here, but had those stickers. Kinda strange to see it on that box (although the USA version of Athleic World seems to be released in Europe, I've never seen another one and it works on an unmodified PAL NES).

So that sticker is probably an original then eh...that is wierd, since I had never heard of or seen it before. What do Euro PAL NES games say when it comes to the "Nintendo of ..."? Obviously here in the U.S. its "Nintendo of America", which the FFF pad box has on it, as well as the Athletic World box.

Coincidentally, the original sticker price is still on the FFF box at $99.99. Kinda steep for something they only ended up making two games for.

Anyways, congrats. I to have been looking for one, and will now be checking in the toys section.

LOL I'm pretty sure that "family" is glad that the box is hard to find (at least here in the U.S. where they probably live).

Heh. Remember the SNES LifeFitness add-on? Two or three games for an exercise bike that cost $8000, as I recall! (Of course, the bike was probably quite useful on its own.)

Euro NES games just say 'Licensed by Nintendo for play on the Nintendo Entertainment System'.

I've checked some of my games, and it seems that only the games published by Nintendo has the black dot sticker on the boxes.

Anyone else noticed how messed up eBay is???

If you do a search for that item if the recently sold, it doesn't show up! No matter what you try!

Heck.. I even have a search engine for this product, and it never picked it up.. what gives??? eBay going nutz again???

Congrats.
