Image intensive!!! I had to press really hard on my keyboard to get the exclamation point to work! I guess I need a new one! Look at how stupid I was/still am!

20 bucks for ROCKET KNIGHT ADVENTURES back in 1995, mint complete condition. I /might/ have been able to do better but the town was dry and I was stoked to find anything remotely fun looking and in such good shape.

I must have been on drugs to buy Low-G-Man for ten bucks! I've since gotten rid of that stinky stinky turd.

My favorite! At one point I figured I had to have all of the NES megaman carts and turned to ordering from Funco as a last resort. Money was no object as can be seen...

Was ebay even around in 97? Even if it was I certainly wasn't aware of it.

Interesting reciepts. I always like it when my games from Japan come with the original reciept included, or price tag attached.

Yes, eBay was around in '97...I think it's been around since the early nineties or even the late 1980s. Since before people really started to go online, in other words.

Loving the avatar, by the way.

Late 1980s :o

From their website, September 1995. Although it wasn't until 1999 when I started using it.

Very cool. I always like seeing these, especially when they are for rare carts that were bought dirt cheep. I wish I still had my receipt from the video store where I bought my complete Peek-A-Boo Poker and Hot Slots for $5.95 each. I'd probably have it framed if I did.

1995 sounds about right, I think I started in late 96 sometime....

A cool receipt story:

A friend of mine picked up a complete Dragon Warrior 4 at a local Buy 'n Sell for 30 dollars. No big deal, but in the back of the instruction manual was the original receipt taped inside. It was kind of funny seeing the original purchase made at Fred Meyer for 74.99, but when I saw that the guy had charged it, I noticed that I recognized the name. It turned out to be originally purchased by one of my coworkers! I brought it over to him and he was amazed, saying he'd gotten rid of the game years ago. Pretty neat little twist of fate, eh?

The only receipt I still have is my Final Fantasy II from Fred Meyers back on 6/12/92. 69.99!

I bought an original Atari Pong Unit last year and found the receipt from Sears in the box.

I was geeked. :D

I had sort of forgotten that I had kept these, although I do have recent receipts for stuff like Sonic Adventure 2 and my GBA games. My sister has the receipt for FF3 from when she put it on layaway at Wal-Mart and eked out the full 73 bucks with her weekly allowance. That was quite the accomplishment for a ten year old!

I tuck all my receipts into the opened games and keep the receipts for sealed games in a shoe box. Hey, ya never know.
