I recently purchased a Game.Com and several games. It's not difficult to see why it failed.

Are any games on this system actually worth playing?

Centipede amd Frogger. That's all I care for.

I remember Duke Nukem 3D being descent, but that was six years ago...

Here's a list of available games w/ review scores. You'll need to cut 'n' paste:

Hooray for Gamespot special features!

I think they have favorable things to say about Resident Evil 2.

Solitaire. Lights Out. And that's about it, IMO.

This was the system that when the batteries corrhoded in it, I was actually happy to have a reason to throw it away. So bad...

Considering that it's selling on eBay for annoying prices right now, I'd think that the answer is "yes".

So Game.Com sells for a lot on eBay? or sells for very little?

I'd only recommend Lights Out. The screen doesn't really suit much else.

its fashionable to hate this system for some reason, i think it may have been the shouting midget commercials. from a collecting point of view its a neat little detour on the handheld highway, not too pricey or hard to find. from a gameplay angle its not that bad, its quite possible to have fun with these games. none of the games are flat out awful and some are pretty decent, it kept me entertained on many subway trips, right up until i got my nomad. get the williams arcade pack and duke nukem, they wont kill ya ;)

Let me answer that by quoting an auction on eBay right now:

Tiger Game.com Pro - CIB w/ 13 Boxed Games
14 bids (US $1.00 starting bid)
Current bid: US $22.50
Time left: 1 days 12 hours

Well it's no R-Zone, that's for sure.

Here's my rule of thumb when people ask me: as long as the game doesn't require animation of any kind, it's fine. So games like Lights Out, Henry, Monopoly, Scrabble... even Wheel of Fortune... these play just fine. But Fighters Megamix, Resident Evil, Indy 500 and anything they attempted to make an "action game" out of - if you're actually enjoying these games I truly admire your willing suspension of disbelief. And your patience. x_x

Meh, I don't think it's worth it for any kind of money. Unless, of course, you want to be a completist or something.
