I've never understood why people pay so much fo factory sealed games. I mean, you're just paying hundereds of bucks for a doorstop. I understand that some people value their collections, but you can't even open the thing and enjoy it! And besides, for all I know some guy could have just bought the box, stuck an old, beat up Super Mario World in there and wrapped the box in Saran Wrap! (Hey, it could happen.)

The crazy part about that is the seller: ladyofvines.

That seller is a total jackass, they buy new SNES stuff at high prices then tries to turn around and sell it at even higher prices! x_x

Notice this auction that she won:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3040205888

Notice anything similar?? Ending price=Starting price on this auction!

Not to mention their other winnings:

Not all insane, but some of them sure are.

Typical ebay whore  , nuff said!

Hey, if she can find someone dumber than she is, so be it.

As PT Barnum said, There's one born every minute.

If you think that's a lot, I've seen a Secret Of Mana go for 1000+. Sucks because it's not in the completed section any more, otherwise I'd have a link.

I'm REALLY surprised it went for so low myself, if there hadn't been a BIN on that, I guarantee it would have gone higher.

BTW, did you guys notice that the seller copy-pasted the description paragraph from the Chrono Trigger auction she won? It's really a word-for-word copy of the first paragraph.

To top it off, they took the same photos from the original auction.

What a douche.

Hey, if you win ANY auction from me for several hundred dollars you are free to use the text or picture any time you like.

I really don't think many sellers would complain to this provided that 1.They only have one copy to sell and 2. The person doing this won and paid them for the auction.

Once the item is sold the eBay text and picture doesn't do the original seller a bit a good.

i sold a bunch of sealed nes games outside of ebay for......ehh......high dollar in most cases. 25 or so for $1000 shipped. and he was "collecting them" for his personal collection and not many would reach ebay as he told me. i believed him........his collection was HUGE. but.......he turned some of them around after he hit credit card debt. real nice guy......but man........he tried to turn a profit and got shut down. he would buy games from me that sold from $30-$50 on ebay for $40.........and post them for $60. some of them sold but i dont think he got his investment back........i sure like selling sealed games but will never understand the glory of paying that much for one. although i did buy excitebike sealed for $200 on ebay......only ebay sealed game i ever bought. and i had to threaten chargeback through paypal to get him to cough up the money when it turned up in "not so nice" condition. the shrink was stretched and i was supposed to like it because.........survey says "it's a really rare item so even though it's condition isn't so great, it is in great condition because of it's scarcity." BLAH BLAH BLAH - got my money back :-D

The thing that's ridiculous about this auction is that she bought the sealed Chrono Trigger for $229 + $6 S&H = $235

Then she sells it with a BIN of $250. All that for $15 profit? Why bother?

Isn't that actually a loss with the ebay fees anyway? :hmm:

She's been buying tons of sealed SNES stuff in the past few months. I would much rather have a complete in excellent condition game than a sealed one, but if that is the only way I can find a decent copy, then I will buy a sealed one. The only reason why I know about her is she has bid against me on MANY snes titles that I was going after as well (most that I need for my collection).

People like this really irritate me!
