Man, I need a super long controller extension for the Atari 2600 joystick. Did they ever make them?

yep those are the same as 2600 cords so you can use those. Both appear on eBay pretty regularly and I'm sure Gamestop or someone also has Genny extension cords.

You know, they are actually similar right?

Do they work?

Would there be any way to screw up the controller, or the extension by trying?

It's a direct pin to pin extension, so no harm could possibly be caused.

I've got one of those too and it works really great! I still have no frickin' clue where the hell I got it from though. Also, you can use a Genesis controller for most 2600 games.

And! If you really want to be cool, you can track down a pair of wireless 2600 joysticks. However this will cost a bit more than a genesis controller or genesis extensions~!

You cant use 2600 extenders WITH the Genny, tho- they're not wired for it as a Genny controller has more functions.

My WICO Atari extenders work with my Genny controllers, on my genny.
