Sometimes, I begn thinking....today it was about Neo Geo AES carts. How in the hell are these things sealed???? There's no screws and you sure as hell can't just pop 'em open... :hmm: Blows my mind.

You've got my wheels a-churning...I have NEVER seen a sealed AES cart!

Back when the NEO first hit game stores all that I saw were the display boxes, seeign as how I was too broke to afford the system. Then when I bought by AES, I've been buying used games.

Hmm...I would love to see a pic of a sealed one.

Or maybe crack one myself when Samuari Spirits Zero debuts :D

No, no, no...not the packaging, the cart itself! You know, SNES carts can be opened with a screwdriver and such...Geo carts on the other hand seem to have no noticeable way to do so....

snap pegs, just like some of the cheaper 2600 carts. snap pegs suck, they're very hard to push out without cracking them off. you can see along the cart join where they are but i wont be wasting an expensive cart to prove my theory.

Also to open one up, you have to remove the label, or at least the top part of it. I'm not going to try it on any of mine, however, if I was unsure of the authenticity of a cart, I might pop it open to make sure its not a bootleg/conversion.

if your good, you can fold the top part over the bottom and not remove the label. I've had to open a few to check traces and crap before. never broke anything yet.......yet

I used to subscribe to the DHP Neo Geo list, and someone once posted this message. I don't know who, but it explains it:

If you start at the bottom, the part that is inserted in the neo geo when you play. Both on the left side and the right side are 2 clips you need to try and loosen up. On the both sides of the cart there are 2 more clips each side you need to unlock.

When you've unlocked all 6 clips, insert gently a screwdriver at the bottom of the cart between the top lit and the plastic thingy that holds both boards, and give it a little push upwards, dont use brutal force here. The top lit will pop up, you need to do this on the left side of the cart and on the right side of the cart, to loosen the glue that holds the cart together on the 2 round thingys, that hold the boards on their place. When succesfull, you can open the cart without cutting or removing the sticker on the top to reach the final clip, that wont need to be unlocked if you follow this way. Hope this makes any sense to you
