Hi Folks,

I own one of these and it no longer saves. I tested the battery and it still says it outputs 3.5 volts as it should. The problem, I believe is that the software contained on this cart is written on a (volatile) SRAM instead of a regular ROM. Who knows WTF the designers were thinking. ANyway, does anyone know if this is repairable?

Maybe it's possible to burn a EEPROM of the software? Does anyone have the , uhh, rom I guess, for this...or a burner or chip to do it?

Any other suggestions?

Yours,

Rob

PS, here's a picture and description of one, if you don't know what it is...it basically is a save state device like on an emulator, only for a real NES:

I remember hearing someone say that the program code had been dumped, and used to repair others. Hopefully someone can help.

Yeah, I think I heard it was Kevin Horton. However, he never, ever, ever answers emails, in my experience. Not even when I have wads of cash to hand him.
