okay, you know that system that bombed, laseractive? yes you do.
now, if anybody owns a laserdisc game, can it be easily mistaken for a record? cuz if it can, im gonna start checkin the record section at goodwill. oh and if you dont know what the games look like, they have a little LP logo in a yellow square in the upper right corner.
(i think  )

No, a laserdisc cannot be mistaken for a record. Records are usually black vinyl with grooves. Laserdiscs are silver (like a big CD). A photo of one can be found here:

As someone who has been scouring thrift store records for 10+ years, I can tell you I have never seen a Laserdisc of anykind thrown in with the records. Theorteically it could be done if someone wasn't paying attention, but laserdiscs are much heavier than LPs. The weight alone would be a giveaway, and you know if they see something shiny at the thrifts, they're goint to price accordingly.

I have seen CED Videodiscs thrown in near the records, but those aren't the droids you're looking for.

At most thrift stores that I have been to, Laser Disks are thrown in with the records. A few keep them separate, though. That time that I found four Laseractive games that I mentioned in this thread http://www.nullunit.com/dpforum/viewtopic.php?t=1434 , the games were thrown in with the records and I was lucky that they were on top or else I would have missed them. I wish I had a Laseractive.
