This system has 5000+ games (larger than any other system)

Not actually true. The Spectrum has a games library of over 12000 with many games still being discovered to this day

..but the C64's library is still quite big

12,000? I'd like to see proof on that... considering the machine didn't much impact outside of my country!

The C64 has a library in excess of 15,000 (as shown by the GB64 project) and still rising...

Your county? I was under the impression you lived in the UK too

Nonetheless, the Spectrum had a massive impact and still carries a hefty community, the Sinclair Software Database is geeting towards collecting the full whack but there are so many obscure games for the system that they either have yet to be archived or are unevenly distributed among the various archiving sites.

World of spectrum is a good place to start, they're currently attempting to archive as many unique games as they can and the web-ring leads on from there, I think they're upto around 7500+ unique archived games which you can play using the online emu.
