Surprisingly, the analog stick worked with the D-pad ONLY Final Fantasy Origins game (in digital mode of course, but the standard controller doesn't work with analog stick either way I don't think right?)
At any rate, if you need to play RPG's with one hand while you snack, channel surf (pip) or do a myriad of other things with your other hand, This thing is pretty damn sweet. Also, it's not cheap feeling, feels as sturdy and heavy as a stadard controller (if not MORESO).

I've got the Playstation controller that you strap round your hand and move your wrist around to control the joystick movements. The buttons are under the thumb and fingers. I did have a photo of it, but I can't find it..

This is what I originallly was looking for, and they are NOWHERE to be found. Just pure luck that I happened across this second (muchly improved) version at liksang while doing some normal shopping there.

Wasn't there one for the NES by ASCII as well?
I think I saw it at tsr's site or something...

if i'm not mistaken, ascii made that one-handed controller originally for the famicom, then the sfc, and then the playstation. i don't remember a saturm version, but it may exist... 8-)

FYI, Suikoden 1 and 2 can be played one handed with the normal Sony controller ;)

Seen these for all systems. It juist doesn't feel right having only one hand playing though. WHat are you suppose to do pick your nose?

Great for those Hentai games. :D
I wouldn't know of course, I use my Ascii Grip PSX for Final Fantasy Origins, and I finished FF4 (Chronicles) with it. It's very "handy" (sorry!, couldn't resist) for munching on chips while you play or for making maps, if you like that sort of thing.

Man, ASCII just continues to kick ass, even into the new millenium. I have been a strong supporter since the SNES days.

Usually eat, drink, or lay lazily on the couch with the other hand hanging off onto the floor :)
