Not much this week. Picked up a Ninja Turtles handheld for 10 cents. Then at a game store I got NES Galaga and a new factory sealed Nightshade which I hear is sort of rare.

I don't know if you list "almost boughts", but I was dragged out this morning to garage sales with my wife. At about the third house we stopped at, I was shocked to see 2 arcade games standing in the garage. One was Tiger Shark or something like that ($250), the other was Bad Dudes ($200). Probably any other time of year I would have bought them both, but there are three arcade auctions coming to my area (Oklahoma City) between now and Christmas, the first of which is 2 weekends away. They were really clean cabs, but if they went for $100 at the auction I'd have kicked myself. Of course, if they go for $500 I'd really kick myself.

I think what I'm saying is, no matter what happens, I'm going to kick myself.

Boy has this weekend sucked. It started by sleeping in yesterday and missing the garage sales, then checking the local Cash Converters and finding nothin. Then, today, I hit the local flea market. Blarg, nothing good. Bah. A couple of boxed Master System games, couple of boxed Mega Drive games (saw X-Men there, wondering if I should've got it, but I'm not collecting Mega Drive). Picked up a first-gen Saturn controller for $5 AUS...lady wanted $7, I hope it works, along with some old Transformer books I use to own back a couple of years.

Also saw what I THINK is a Mega Drive/Genesis clone...I'm not sure. Didn't bother asking about it, because it looked tatty. Most of the stuff at the market was Nintendo 64...couple loose SNES carts, like Megaman X (which I didn't buy because the guy had loose SMS carts priced at $5). Alright, fine, I decided. Didn't expect much anyway. Then, however, I headed to the Salvation Army and realised they were shut. The other Cash Converters was shut as well, plus the thrift and pawnshop there.

I also missed another garage sale today.

Great.

Gameboy

Zen intergalactic ninja in a Galaga/Galaxian box w/instruction .50 cents

Not game related, but some people here might appreciate this find. A gas powered blender called the tailgator. It has a 2 stroke gas engine like a weedwacker has. It came in a padded case that holds it and 2 liquor bottles and backpack straps to carry it. You can make margaritas or any blender drink at your tailgate party or before a concert or whatever.
It belonged to the ex-boyfriend of the girl selling it. She charged me $2 :o :o :o :o for it and was glad to see it go. (bad breakup)

I found the website selling it and they charge for that whole setup w/ case $369.95 plus shipping!!!! :o :o :o :o

Check it out at www.totallygross.com/specs.html

I am not sure if I will keep it or put it up on ebay, but a great find for me!!

Damn, Dennis, when I look at your weekend finds I always get a bit jealous; and looking at your posts, I always get this starnge urge to go to an arcade. Must be the appeal of the arcade machine in your pic, I guess.

I picked up Star Trek and The Activision Decathlon for 5200, and an NES dogbone controller at a flea market yesterday. $10 for everything. I was impressed to find some actual classic stuff; the vendor even had some 2600 items too (nothing I needed though).

He also had what looked like a multi-controller-port adapter shaped like Bomberman's head. I didn't get a very good look at it though... couldn't even tell what system it was for. Anybody know what it is?
