I was moving my collection from the 'rents house to my apartment, and I found that one of the cats had been using my game drawers to mark territory.

Hi Joe!

the casualties:

River Raid 1 *AND* 2, Robot Tank, and Rock N' Rope (I sort alphabetically, can you tell?)

I'm getting in the mood for some Cuban Cuisine :grumble:

Cats are excellent to use in punting practice. Almost as good as small dogs.

Hmm, that's a good reason for me not to get cats. OR if I did, I'd keep my games in a case with a glass case, or just keep the door to the room closed all the time. :O

I had a buddy who used to feed kittens to his pythons. Gruesome!

My parents have two Boxers. They are wonderfull dogs, in almost every respect.....except for one small thing.

When I flew home for Christmas last year, I brought my PS2 and a few games with me, as I was gone for a week. One day I was upstairs playing GTA 3 and Rocky, the male dog, was lying on the floor next to me. During one mission, you get chased by the cops all the way through, and there's a LOT of sirens. After a few mintues, Rocky sat up, looked at the TV and then at me, back at the TV, lowered his ears, and started HOLLOWING at the top of his lungs to try to match the sirens.

I was so startled by this I crashed and had to re-do the mission.

However, I could'nt really harm him -- this IS a 80 pound dog we're talking about here. :D

When one my cats was a kitten he chewed mostly through my old monitor cable for my PC. it stillworks, but w ehad to cover the wires, etc, with black electrical tape and sometimes the monitor sputters out.

That sucks...My cat has yet to pee on my video games, but he did pee on a 1959 Vespa engine that I was working on. It took about an hour of scrubbing to get the smell out.

haha what were the games? I can not tell cause the pics are blurry. Anything Rare? I am allergic to cats. I own a small terrier, but all of my games are kept in IRIS drawers. So no jizz carts here!

There were a few good carts in there but nothing irreplaceable, lucky for the cat. I remember Pete Rose Baseball and Gyruss were among the better ones.

It took me 5 years to get another 2600 Rock N'Rope, and I doubt I can find a RR2 that easily anymore.. your cats are lucky, Joe, in that they have a forgiving owner, and my parents cats are lucky because they live with my parents... :/

My games are cat-inaccessible. They don't spray stuff anymore, but even when they did, I wouldn't leave stuff where they could get to it.

Iago likes to play Asteroids though. :-D

My ex-roommate had a lab who HATED Freeway on the 2600. She seemed to think the house was being invaded by evil cars. She'd run around looking for them, barking every five seconds or so, until we turned off the game.
