All their other stuff, at least the fighters, seem horribly expensive (Japanese side, since I wasn't paying attention to the US releases) on both AES and MVS. Why is this? And do you know of a better place to go?

OH...
MY...
GAWD!!!!!!
:o
(What a time for the cat to need a vet visit! :bawling: )
Where did this stash come from? (Sorry I don't really visit NG.com anymore.) Wow, I'd be pissed if I bought one of those a few months ago!

I think part of it is that he wants to always have stuff in stock, so some of the prices are on the high side, especially for homecarts. Also you know 100% that you will not be scammed, and the stuff will arrive to you as described. MVS stuff is much more reasonably priced, and $99 for a SDB kit is an excellent price. I would grab one now if you have any interest in playing that game.

You aren't kidding, I just got World Heroes and Art of Fighting for $25 shipped from there. Great place if you're a Buy/Sell fanatic like me :D

Watch out for crooks on that board, I've heard people getting scammed on that buying and selling boards. My advise is hainging around there long enough so you know who are trust-worthy. I was lucky during my collection period that I had NCS, Japan Video Games, and a few guys in Japan to help get the stuff I wanted.
One guy I guarantee the service and trust-worthiness is Jonathan (aka:Neo Bomberman), who deals with condition freaks like myself and is very critical and specific on game conditions.

yeah, you have to be wary. Always asking for backup from people who've traded with them before is nice. This guy has 5-7 trades under his belt so I'm not too worried. Plus, meh, it's $25 that I made from 50 cents at a yard sale. I can afford the error.

I agree, just spend some time there, and you'll quickly find out who is good to deal with. There's not many scammers there at all, just a couple big time ones.
And yes Neo Bomber Man is an excellent seller. Probably the best seller I've ever dealt with. I've bought homecarts, soundtracks, posters from him, and everytime the transaction goes perfectly.

Even asking for references can backfire there however. The last major scammer had people who were backing him up. How the hell is someone supposed to know, if you've got old time members backing up a seller? With the amount of money involved with the NEO GEO, your taking a risk at NG.COM because that site attracts scammers. I buy and sell there, haven't been scammed yet, but I try not to deal with someone who hasn't been there at least for 1 year.
And Butta, whats with this MVS collector stuff huh? I thought MVS was for the gamer, not the collector ;)

hehe, I was thinkin about that when I made the post. I was trying to think of a different word to use instead of collector, but my brain was failing me. How I didn't think of gamer, I don't know. LOL

Haha, I think its funny that you were 'thinking' about using the term collector. Like you knew you shouldn't use it, probably got that silly notion at ng.com. LOL , gotta watch that anti-AES, anti-collector propaganda floatin around over there. Anyway, MVS with ya then! Collect away sir. 8-)
