In the Sept. 22, 2003 issue of Time, in the back there is a short article on a new handheld called the Zodiac and is designed by Tapwave. The system is a Palm organizer and a video game machine. Games available at launch Tony Hawk 4, Spyhunter and 15 other games.

And the price…..$299 or $399 depending on the amount of memory that you want, eat that n-gage!

Anyone with more info please add, as I have just gotten wind of this in the last few hours.

Damn. $399! You can buy a Pocket PC for that money, and it'll be a damned good one. Or a very very good Sony Clie. Or even a computer.

They have a funny comparison betweent the "old" Spy hunter and their new one. I'll take the old one anyday...

Maybe I'm just weird, but am I the only one who sees a wanna-be Bandai WonderSwan?

...

Cute. What else can be said?

$399 is for the 128 Megabyte version. $299 is for 32MB.

Or a very very good Sony Clie.

It is a Palm OS 5 PDA too. (ie, it runs the same programs as the Clie).
