So says a friend of mine (Docpan from the CVD Forums). He describes it as a lot smaller than he expected (and not very workable for this reason,) and it has a very wiggly stick.

So I said screw it, and got the Pelican Real Arcade stick instead.

MORAL OF STORY= BUY THE PELICAN REAL ARCADE

Anybody have a positive view of this controller?

Just to clarify, we're talking about this thing, right?

That's a shame. I was thinking about picking one up. Unfortunately, I don't really care for the Pelican stick that much. The buttons aren't responsive enough, and the stick is too short and too loose.

I'd sooner get one of those imported GameCube SC2 sticks, but I'd like something that I'd be able to use with Guilty Gear X-2, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, and the King of Fighters pack.

If it is that stick, yes it stucks. Get the Hori SC2 one from Japan, definitely very good quality :)

I will second the recommendation of the Real Arcade. I was very impressed with it while playing Virtua Fighter 4 Evo and Guilty Gear X2.

Wouldn't it be possible to replace the controls in the unit with some HAPP controls or something? That would be an excellent thing.

Yes. As a matter of fact, he got to see it at Gamestop when it first came in 'cause he's got a friend that works there.

Can't vouch for the Pelican stick myself since I don't have one.

The Gamecube Real Arcade stick sucks. I fiddled with two of them in two different stores, and both had sticky buttons. You would push certain buttons and they wouldn't spring back up quickly. It was all the clear colored buttons. I originally bought the PS2 version with a converter that would work with "all PS2 controllers," but that was a lie, so both went back to the store, and my SC2 doesn't get much use.
