I need to know, is it even remotely close to fun? It's out now, only $20 at Best Buy...and I need to know if it's any good. If it's fun, I'm going to get it tomorrow, if not, I'll just wait a couple weeks and finally get Burnout 2 for XBox...

I liked the pc demo.
It's not getting the greatest reviews but for $20 bucks I'm getting it. (maybe I'll wait till it's bargain binned for $10)

Gamerankings.com always tracks the online reviews for games and averages the collective scores.

From the initial impressions posted at www.veterangamersboard.com (under the xbox board) it sounds like a winner. It has the ability to use a lightgun AND a steering wheel at once (one or two players), so this is DEFINITELY a unique title. Am I the only one that remembers the arcade game Lucky & Wild? Ah, that game was great!

Very good fun, and well worth $20. Lots of levels, decent replay value. I reviewed both the PS2 and Xbox versions for GameSpy, although I'm not sure if either has gone live yet.

No. No, you are not the only one who remembers Lucky & Wild. I spent many, many hours on that game. In both seats, and with multiple friends.

I'll probably end up grabbing S&H if only to be able to drive that Gran Torino. Mmm, seventies cheese...

I picked it up last week. I thought it was cool as hell although I'm sure my opinion was influenced by the fact that my childhood fantasy was to chase bad guys in that red Torino!!

I got mine at EB Games and it came with a record. an actual 33 1/3 record, in red vinyl no less. sweeeet!

Well, when I picked it up off the shelf at Software, Etc., my man the manager said "No Way". In his opinion they had completely messed up the driving part of the game.

I'm inclined to pick it up anyway, since, as I mentioned before (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7390), driving and shooting (and fighting, dammit) should be available in a single game.

I assume that with my Logitech Driving Force and my Guncon 2 I'm good to go?

but dude, you get to drive the red Torino AND it's only $20 bucks.

grab that puppy!!!

I've only played through 3 levels and the driving plays allright. not sure if the rest gets any more varied but the first 3 levels are basically the same save the car you're chasing.
