(UPDATE)Today I got Two Sealed NES Stack-Ups for $20.00 Each..Should I open one or leave it sealed..?

A friend got these from an old Mom & Pop Video Store for me....My friend left quick after he got these for that price..and brought them to me today.

He saw some other rare items ,So I have to get check this place out....He did grab a Boxed Mega Man 1... & 2 + Castlevania for $5.00 each.

I may Ebay one of the Stack Ups..(In the Future)I'm not sure..

I don't need too sell them..
I've been looking for one of these for awhile..But two makes it even better..

:o :o :o :o :o :o

DO NOT OPEN THOSE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!

Why were you thinking of opening one?? There is no reason to. They are too valuable in their sealed state. I never played the game, but since it uses the ROB, I imagine it is pretty lame. They are already worth a buttload of cash, but hold on to them and they are going to be worth even more.
You just scored big time my friend!!! Congrats!!!

Just wondering the reason why a store would still have these after all these years?? Any ideas??

If you were thinking of trading one off, I would be interested. I don't have much in the way of rare titles, but I have a bunch of stuff to trade. PM me if interested.

I agree, DONT OPEN THEM. You could sell one on ebay and buy a mint one to replace it for about half or 2/3 of what youd get. If you do put them on ebay, dont put them both at once. Spread the two auctions out.

Nice find, Daryll!

Hey I wouldn't sell them if you don't need the cash. Hold out for the ULTIMATE TRADE - get something you really want from a Nintendo collector for the extra. Just my humble opinion.

Definitely keep them sealed. I'd personally keep one & sell one.

If you do sell one, be sure to hook your friend up with something nice.

NICE! :o :o :o
Thats crazy. I wonder why they were asking 20 bucks a game, yet 5 for Megaman and what not. That is a little weird maybe cause the box is bigger? Well anyway nice find. I wouldn't open one. Keep one sealed and auction the other.

I have to agree with the general opinion here. I wouldn't open either of them. Is it worth $100 or whatever the premium a sealed copy will fetch to play Stack Up?

Personally, I'd sell both those suckers, but I don't collect NES. I'm assuming you do, so like DP said, I'd hold out for something really good in trade. You have some nice trade bait there.

How does a nice $5 profit on one of those sound huh? I mean, think about it...$5 pure profit, cold hard cash...man, it's a good deal...think about it ;)

Me? I'd open one, and then brag about it...just to see the ticked off reactions :)

1. Get a live webcast going. Promote the hell out of it.
2. Take one Stack up and utterly destroy it in sloooooow motion during the 'cast. Smash it with hammers, burn it, let your dog chew on it for a bit, etc.
3. Immediately after the horror show, bring out the other pristine, strill in wrap box.
4. "Who wants to save this one from a similar fate?" and let the auction begin.

I would sell them both or trade for something very nice. I wouldn't open them though. Oh if you smash them I am sure some collector would have a heart attack. LOL

I'm listing.....one of the Stacks Ups today ..it's a long story why,but I'm hoping it sells for a decent price.
I just got too many personal offers to choose one guy/deal..so I'm doing it this way..I don't want to say no to one person and yes to another....I found something I want so..I need quick cash...that's why I'm listing one..

I'll post the link later today..

I might put a Bin of $250.00 I'm not sure how that works ,I never used a BIN in any of my auctions.

I would have just let it ride out on its own without the BIN.

Yeah, especially if you're letting it go for 7 days.

That BIN was a mistake. I sold a complete copy about six months ago for $335. Depending on how much $$$ the sealed NES collectors had lying around i'd bet you could have gotten up to $600+ for that copy.

I agree, but I found an incredible deal.today.One of those once in a life time finds that I need instant cash for..
I won't part with anything else in my collection..At least I still have the other one..(that I'll never sell)
I really had to think hard about listing this one ..but I need the cash quick..
It sold for $250.00..I just hope I actually get paid for it now..

PS..If someone offers me $600.00 for the other one I'll take it....

That $600.00 amount just smacked me in the face...... :D

You don't need to worry about that. I know the guy that bought it and he always pays.

Congratulations!

I've only seen one in the wild losse and it's the one I have now. It truly is one of the hardest games to find on the NES. I envy you right now. I'd love to own a sealed copy.

I agree with Joe. I found a SW'ed SU once and traded it for a MIB SFC Nichibutsu Arcade Classics! I'd never play the Stack Up, but the NAC cart gets ions run through it at least once a week!

Can someone tell me why this item has become so rare..?

Were they made in limited supply?

What happened to them all?

wow.........i sold a ton of sealed games and i can tell you......even the cash quick reason.......was no reason at all. i sold a sealed copy of excitebike, outside of ebay with a huge hole in it for $200.......same with 2 other copies of kung fu. i'm dumbfounded, i hate sealed nes games.......they're worth too much to hold onto......i kept a couple since i found the right deal.....but man.....i woulda bought that for $250 just to sell it to "my man"........he's spent 3 grand on my sealed games alone.......and he's an ebayer at heart.........if you needed cash i could have hooked you up with this guy.........wow......i'm still utterly amazed.......... :hmm:

Oh I'm sorry..The Nintendo games like Mega man in the box are between $5-$10.00
They have some sealed Nintendo games and other stuff that he told me about.

Remember I still have another..So I'll take your invite to know who this guy is..That would be cool..(Just incase I decide to sell it.)
Not that I'm selling the other one..but I can get sealed Nintendo Games..The store that these came from has them in it..

I just don't see a big profit I them...
I'll buy them and list them the same as I did this item and they don't go very high in price....at least for me..
My Ebay Transactions for actually getting paid for auctions is not very good..Ebay really sucks for that reason..So I'm always very weary when I sell something on Ebay..especially for a large amount of money.
I get people with perfect feedback winning my auctions and they don't pay...Then disappear...I guess they found a better deal..thinking Ebay is Target or something....It's ridiculous...

I'm going to that store today..to see what NES sealed games they have.

What are you looking for..Anything in particular..?

Don't say a sealed Stadium Events... LOL LOL LOL LOL :o :D

Any black box first party games, Konami games, Mega Mans, Zeldas, and Final Fantasy seem to command more than they should. Also, obviously, anything rare to begin with.
