Fall sports festival?

Did anybody get this post in their town yesterday? I tried to find the ball toss at 1:00 and the tug of war at 3:00 but the post never said where to go!

it is happening today.
Monday they posted times for events on sunday.
All the events start by the wishing well.
And im stuck at work so no participating for me.

I went to the ball toss, but couldn't seem to play, don't know why. Also I found a glitch or problem spot on the game. At a few minutes past 1 pm while the ball toss was occuring, I tried to talk to the mayor, both times my Gamecube reset itself and when I started up I got to meet Mr Resetti.

Anyone else have the same problem here, or anywhere else where the game reset itself automatically?

Good lord, Stonecutter, you must have gotten an accidentally shipped beta release or something. Seems like your copy of the game is full of glitches!

LOL, this glitch seems legit, but the save problem was corrected as suggested in the previous post I had made. Once I went and spoke to people and did something, it saved no problem, just wouldn't let me before I had done something. So that turned out to be an error out of ignorance on my behalf.

At the Sports festival, I was given the Autumn Medal by the Mayor.

damm it I knew he was going to give out something, I got the moon from him at the harvest moon fest..
I should of stayed home.

I don't know if I should have done this or not, but being the nice guy that I am, I sold my medal to Olivia. I thought I would just order a new one from the catalogue...... guess again though, turns out it is one of the items that can not be ordered.

Ok everyone you can stop laughing at me now lol.

I just wish you could have JOINED IN with the festival :( A few minigames would have been easy to implement...

i think if nintendo had released this on the n64 here, this version would have been a bit more interactive in terms of the events and such. you can, according to reports, go and attend the sports festival if you missed it without any severe penalty if you:

1) haven't played/saved since before the festival (or don't mind losing data since the event)

2) remove the memory card with the ac data and reset the gc clock to the appropriate time from the system menu.

i may try this, as work and more work has kept be away from the game since sunday night...i'm in withdrawal, but i've also been losing mad sleep since this game has come out, lol!...=^P
