Alright, I need to know if I'm just really slow or not, biut I've played 81 hours and still haven't moved on to disc 2. I've spent a good amount of time getting classes and such, but this is just crazy.

welcome to the brave new world of the 100 hour RPG..

Yeah, DW7 really takes the cake on being long. I've talked with people that spent over 200 hours, though they were really doing a lot of extra stuff...random exploring and such.

Is it really a 100-hour RPG? Cool! It was on my to-get list, maybe I'll pick it up in a couple of months.

Yes it's long RPG, and just as tedious....

I tried to rush through the last 0 hours and it still took me about 100 hours, I think it took something like 98-99, but I played for the extra 1-2 hours just so I could say I beat a 100-hour RPG. :)

Great game, just too LONG.

The problem is its not just long, its TEDIOUS! I mean FF VII was long, but it was so much fun you didn't notice, DW VII is long but most of that time is spent running bakc and forth from town to town talking to people. I was about 4 hours into the game and realized that I hadn't fought a single enemy yet and I knew something was wrong. If you can stick with it I hear it's not bad, but dated graphics combined with slow gameplay don't make for a good combination. I hear that's why ENIX canned the DW IV remake.

FF7 is fun, but doing the first few hour sin Midgar is annoying.

The DWIV remake was canned because the developers (Heart Beat) called it quits and Enix didn't have the technical expertise / resources to do the translation themselves.
