Does anyone here have this? Is there anything on it that's interesting? Is it worth tracking down a copy?

I had to look this up on Google to get the complete list but I did remember playing BAT and WO and seeing this list now reminds me of the cute little JF demo.

- Playable Demos:
Battle Arena Tohshinden, ESPN Extreme Games, Jumping Flash, and Wipeout.

- Non-Playable (FMV):
Kileak - The DNA Imperative, Philosoma, Tekken, Air Combat,
Twisted Metal, Ridge Racer, Destruction Derby, and Warhawk.

I pulled mine out a few weeks back to do a little Toshinden fact-checking. Damn, that game hasn't aged well.

The music in the disc's front-end menus is really nice! A friend said he thought Tommy Tallarico composed it, but wasn't sure.

I was told it had some kind of "developers graphics demos" on it. Something about a dinosaur running that you could manipulate and some other early graphics demos. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Isn't this the disc that has a screen shot from the legendary never released Madden '95 on the back?

That's the only thing that strikes me as really interesting off the top of my head.

I have that one. It has the famous T-Rex demo with the 3D dino that you can manipulate. It's kindof neat, but I wouldn't think it's worth much.

I don't know WHAT disc some of these people are referring to, but it's not "Hear it Now, Play it Later". The HINPIL demo CD has NO GAMES on it. It's got a few decent audio tracks that you can play on any CD player, and when you pop it into your PSX you get the Developers' Demo, which has nine showoff demos with limited interaction, displaying the PlayStation's capabilities with 3D objects, color, diffusion effects, scaling, rotation, and full-motion video. It's pretty "blah" but I guess if you were a developer in 1995 it was pretty impressive.

The demo you're referring to is called "DINO" and is the last demo on this disc. You can rotate a fairly good model of a T-Rex on its X,Y and Z axis, scale it in closer or farther back, make it's head move left or right, or have it bare its teeth or roar. Ho hum, but again, probably cool if you were a prospecting developer circa 1995.

They probably made a lot of these but judging from the responses here so far it must not be in every PSX owner's collection. Again I'm glad that I never throw anything away :)

Hope this helps.

That article kicks ass! I especially like the screenshot...it may be small, but even my blind eyes can see that it's pretty crappy in the graphics department. Heh, and I remember thinking "someday, I'll have to track down FFVII and Battle Arena Toshinden." I imagined BA Toshinden quite differently from what I see now :P

Have it, thats what got me in collecting them. If you want to know what the real prize is try finding the Rayman 1 Demo Disc, talk about vaporware I bought 1 for a friend when they first came out. Hoping to get it later IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND even on EBAY.

how funny-i just got off the phone here talking to a friend about games and he was trying to remember just what that disc was all about (i was no help, as i didn't get my ps until '97, lol). i'd have to admit now i'm looking for one of those demos just for the hell of it. if whoever out there has an extra, let me know, and we'll chat a bit...
