Ok, I'll start:

Passed up a boxed original Genesis cause the lady wanted $15 and the box had some damage. Not worth it. But at the next sale:

$2 each:
Galaxian handheld Coleco mini-arcade unit :)
Pac-Man handheld Coleco mini-arcade unit :)

Yay! I've never found these in the wild before! Both are a bit dirty, and neither has perfect stickers (the marquee stickers on both are torn too :() But they seem like they'll work (haven't tested em yet)! Did I do good?

Hell yes that's good, or at least I reckon. Where'd you get em from? Garage sale?

I haven't gotten anything yet. Hit the local pawn, quite a few Saturn games, but all commons I don't really need. Still, I'll probably head back there on Monday or something, see if there's anything I might even POSSIBLY want before they move the merchandise to the next store.

I'm excited, I bid on and won a Nintendo Super Famicom

console
1 controller
power adapter
AV cables
and Super Mario World

$42.00 + $16.00 S&H

Considering the price of an SFC power adapter then that alone makes this a good deal IMO.

It should be here this week :D

I traded 4 games that I got for about $5 a piece towards Mana (Paper Mario, Last Blade 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Evilzone). I could of sold them all and got more, but I needed Mana NOW!

@Maxlords: If you can't make your tabletop games work after putting in new C batteries, try to nudge them tight with a piece of paper. i learned the hard way that C batteries are slightly smaller now than they were 20 years ago. For example, I need to do the paper nudge trick for both my tabletop DK Jr. and my Entex Defender, while I don't need to with my Scramble tabletop.

went to the flea market, lady had a box of about 20 2600/7800 games, nothing worth anything, but a ton of controllers. i said $30 for the box, she shit. no i want $6 for the games. ok then how about the controllers. NO i only sell them when i have ataris to sell with them. i just shrugged and left.

across the street, 100 feet away is a garage sale:

$50 total:

atari 7800, complete, 8 controllers, 52 games.
sega pico, complete, 6 games(things)
nes 10 games
genesis 13 games

It's been really dry around here for ages. Several reasons. First of all, the only game shop in town that stocks anything older than PS1 has been downsizing their retro section. AND some guy who has started working there collects Saturn, so anything vaguely interesting disappears before it even hits the shelf :( I nearly convinced him to buy Metal Slug off me, but he decided he needed the money for his holiday instead. Hmph!

However... I picked up :

Mighty Hits (Saturn PAL) for £5 BIN on ebay (first ebay bargain I've had for quite a while!)

Twinkle Star Sprites in a trade with a Japanese contact. I am loving that game already! Played it for an hour or so with my flatmate this morning when it arrived. He was an instant convert!

There's this charity shop that I drop into now and again, but I don't really go that often because they never have any games. Well I went in this week, and lo and behold, a few Megadrive games on the counter, all complete, all £2 ($3) each. Sadly, only Aladdin, some sports game and Sylvester and Tweety. "Got any more of these?" I asked. "Oh, you should have come in a few days ago" said the old lady, "We had a pile this high!" (indicates head height).

Damn it!! I don't want to think what I might have missed! I might go back for Sylvester and Tweety, but I'm pretty skint and I'm not sure that it's a particularly great game.

Flicky for Genesis, loose, $4

Woopty doo...

I picked up a complete Flicky (box and instruction sheet) a while back for the usual $10 at my local game store. Fun game.

Meantime, my Sega CD tray-loader unit is on the way from the 'Bay...it was a combo deal (including another Genesis and some controllers, which I'll trade away) for around 50 bucks after shipping. So I grabbed Ecco and Spider-Man vs. Kingpin for $5 a piece (complete) to give me something to test with when it arrives.

And I'll probably be heading to the flea market tomorrow...we've also got some "monster super sale" event thing going on in the area touting new games (PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC) from $6 to $10 each. It's six bucks to get in, but if I can find a couple of deals there, it'll be worth it.

Also, I saw a loose Joe Montana Football for SMS at the game store yesterday -- I'll probably go back and pick that one up now that I've thought about it. Duh... :P

@ Maxlords..

It is the Saturn version of Twinkle Star Sprites. I hear that the DC version is just a straight Neo Geo / Arcade port, whereas the Saturn version has a bunch of little extras - like more characters, and added features on the graphics.

In so far as gameplay is concerned, a friend of mine has a copy of the DC version, and I have played it and I can't see much difference, if any.

I had some GOOD finds yesterday. Nothing extremely rare or special, but some fun stuff.

Playstation:
Spyro
Spyro 2
Spyro 3
Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider 2
Tony Hawk 2
102 Dalmations
San Francisco RUSH
Monopoly
Monsters Inc.
Rugrats

Genesis:
Earthworm Jim
Mario Lemieux Hockey
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
MMPR: The Movie
Sonic 3
Sonic Classics
Quackshot (an R5!)
Sports Talk Baseball
Road Rash II
Bill Walsh College Football
NBA Live 96
Justice League Task Force (double)

A used Playstation with two controllers and two memory cards and a Genesis 2 with two controllers and all hook-ups for both. Guess how much it all cost:

NOTHING.

I helped my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew move and they wanted to get rid of all their older games, and they know how I love them so. So they just gave it all to me. 21 new games, 1 double, and doubles of 2 systems and an RF hook-up for my PS-X. How happy I be... :D

Told you I'd go to the flea market, and I did. The established video game booth had all kinds of stuff, including a Saturn bundle (with Daytona USA) for $20 or a loose Game Gear (no game) for $15.

Thinking this was mildly on the high side, I decided to think about it and kept looking. Not too much later, I come upon a table with all kinds of random electronic matter. I pick through it and come upon a box with some Genesis games, mostly sports stuff -- and an Atari Lynx, the later style with the "Flip" button.

Grabbing that and a copy of Mortal Kombat 3 (the only good game in the pile), I inquired about the price for both items.

"Three dollars," I was told. And three dollars is what I paid. :D

Then I realized that the thing still had a copy of California Games stuck in it... :)

Next, I headed over to my usual video game store. Though he didn't have any Lynx games, he did have the original car adapter for $4.95. Along with that, I picked up a copy of Joe Montana Football (loose) for $2.95.

A very good day, I think.

Did I find amazing things at OKGE? Sure, but I just didn't buy any! My BIG lucky find for this week was one day after OKGE.

15" TFT flatscreen monitor with NTSC S-Video, RCA-connector baseband, coax and VGA video inputs.
http://home.ipa.net/~egreen/new-scrn.jpg
$150 + a full tank of gas and a 7 hour round trip (would've been 4 if not for the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department's desire to line every freaking inch of highway with orange barrels).

It makes games look real purdy. And Sam Jackson too.

Yesterday was my first time flea shopping in about 2 months and I lucked out. :D

Complete (and mostly mint) SNES games for $5 each:
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Lord of the Rings
Lufia
Secret of Mana
Ultima: The Black Gate
Ultima: The False Prophet

I actually left some good ones behind because I didn't feel like spending any more money, but then I went to another booth and got a big Genesis/32X lot for $25.

I also passed on this neat looking 12" Mario beverage cooler thing because they wanted $10 for it.
