View Full Version : WOO HOO!!! I just completed Spelunker for NES Tonight.

I did it. I put the game in and played the first game and got about 75% through the game and tryed it the second time and finished the game and still had three lives left. I was dumbfounded and psyched. I also got about half way through the second quest, which jumps up in difficulty alot, and ended the game with a final High Score of 256,560 points!!!! I am so happy I just beat one of the hardest games of all time and one that's been on my list for years
I also have MAXI 15 and was playing Stakk'm (decent game with an interesting concept) and ended with a high score of 2730 points. Needless to say I had a great night.

I second your emotions. 3 years ago I told my cousin to play this game for NES. I claimed it was impossible, but he proved me wrong 2 hours later, my eyes watching him the whole time. We were both jumping around the house for about 30 minutes. It was quite a feat. Congratulations!

Yes, the game is extremely difficult, but there's really nothing quite like making it to the end of the cave.

That's AWESOME. Spelunker is one of those games that I always wanted to finish but I suck so supremely at it that it's just too frustrating for me. I bow to your mad skillz!

Basically, you make it to the end of the cave, get a brief celebration and some bonus points, then repeat at a higher difficulty level with a different color cave.
