I remember reading a while back that u where able to get sonic and tails in super smash bros. melee. I was wondering if that was true or if it was just a hoax??

That was an EGM prank, one that fooled alot of people.
Pranks in EGM aren't hard to pick out, just look to see if it sounds like it would never happen, then look if it's April, if it is, chances are, you just found a prank.

LOL that one fooled a friend of mine also. He tried for hours to get them.

They pulled one over on a whole lotta people when they claimed they knew how to unlock nudity in DOA Beach Volleyball.
I had people asking me about that at the store for months...
