I would've assumed someone has posted this before, BUT...

Nintendo's got a promotion going on now. If you buy specific software, you get to enter in a drawing. 1000 lucky bastards get the Famicom Style GBA SP. I've bought one of those pieces of software (The new Seiken Densetsu) but haven't entered the drawing yet. I assume I will though.

Is this the only way to get this system? I asked some people about it, but they replied with their normal "we will check as soon as it comes in" silliness.

That is a very cool looking GBASP...I shudder to think of what it will be going for on ebay. @_@

Thanks for the pic. :)

I'm pretty sure there was a post about this before, but that's still a slick-looking GBA variant. ME WANT.

That is very cool. I saw it an Tips and Tricks, and it's been mentioned here before though. Thanks for the details (even though my english package didn't install) lol. 1000 will be out will mean a pretty penny on ebay. Im guessing 300-500 dollars. I REALLY want one of those but cant picture paying anymroe then $350 for a GBSP.

Apparently after news of this got out there was a large clamour from the public to have NoJ release more than 1000 of these. Nintendo's subsequent response was that since the faceplate was a sticker that had to applied during assembly it wouldn't be cost effective, which to me is just another typical bullshit line they tend to cough up to suit themselves. They could have just packed the system with the sticker and have the consumer slap it on.

I saw the add a while back (month or so ago) and didn't pay too much mind to it. The drawing is on 9/30, so I need to send my POP in. I'm sure they'll go for a lot... in Japan and in America. Good luck finding one on Ebay. :)
