Went to my local Target, here's some clearance items that were available. Some were OK deals, other were great!! Maybe you can get in on some of them!! Most didn't have price stickers (or older, higher priced ones), so scan them first, and see if they're cheaper. That's how I found some of these ones.
Gamecube:
Backyard Football $9.99
Resident Evil $6.99 !!!!!!
Resident Evil Zero $14.99
GBA:
Eye of the Beholder $7.99
E-card Reader:
Excitebike $0.99
Tennis $0.99
DK Jr. $0.99
I went to another Target in my area, and saw some of the same games, though the prices did vary a bit, as well as the selection. So check yours out!!

Resident Evil for the Cube for $6.99? Yeah , right. I always hear about these great deals at Target, but the prices are never anywhere near what people talk about, when I go to my local Target. What's up with that? You would think that with a National Chain, that all the prices would be the same.

It is weird, but for closeout / clearance stuff...often Target deals go by store, rather than chainwide...I kind of regret not picking up the PC versions of the Backyard sports games for $13 each last weekend...

Yeah it depends on the quantities per store. I asked a friend who worked there before. Games that are $6.99 at one store who has 20 copies, is $19.99 at another store who has 2.

I was just at Target yesterday and didn't see a single GC game under $25. Not even the crappy ones.

Did you look in the clearance section (the aisle behind the locked up games), and SCAN the price? I didn't find a single Clearance game over $30. The most expensive one was Sonic Mega Collection for $29.99.

There is no clearance section at any of the target stores in my area. Not in electronics, anyway.

I had a weird experience at Target 2 weeks ago. I bought FF Anthologies for PS1 for $15. It came up as $30. I was like, WTF? I told him it was labelled as $15, and he took $15 off, no questions asked (like it was the most normal thing in the world), without checking. It's like, they are trying to screw people by not giving them the discount unless they ask. Thanks god I only had 2 items, because in a big purchase, joeShmoe is never going to notice they got gyped. Anybody else have this happen?

Dude, that happens at most retailers all the time. You ALWAYS have to double check your receipts.

True, but usually they have to do a price check. To do that no questions asked, it's like they KNEW they were trying to screw me.

Or that he was an assistant manager covering a register and had authorization. If the game had the price marked there it is. I think you're reading too much into it. How do you know it didn't show in his system the info you're mentioning?

The clearance section over here only had one game and that was Max Payne w/strat guide for $10.
Yeah it was a really good price, but I've already beaten it so I didn't see the price.
But I am kind of confused....did you mean clearance center as in the value titles are? Like DBZ:UB22, FFAnthologies, Spyhunter, etc etc or is it at a different location?
The lowest priced game in that section was $15 and that was a PS1 title. At least, thats what the price tag said.

The thing with the red clearance stickers is that you always want to bring them to one of the price scanners and check them out. Sometimes they ring up for less than they're marked. I worked at Target for a long time and the clearance areas are usually a mess (mostly trough people digging through them, and also due to lazy floor people that don't keep their stuff updated/clean) but if you root through, you can find some really good deals sometimes.
Target, unlike some retailers, will never send merchandise back -- even if they have to reduce it to 99 cents, they're going to sell it (this figures into their overall sales figures somehow, it's better for them to sell it at a deep discount than to send it back). Usually most of the videogame deals are scooped up pretty quickly but I've found stuff like PS2 NFL2K3 for $4.
