howdy fellas, i have here a fully compatible data east jamma cab, four buttons, and in good shape, the vynl is coming off of the sides in a couple of places, but other than that it's fully working, and it has two brand new hap controls rotary sticks, the monitor can be rotated; i just don't wanna do it, and you can set it up for mvs play if you want. it comes with a fully working coin slot, original papers, and it shouldn't be too hard to license if you wanna make people pay to play. now this cab comes with the following games: heavy barrel(w/ marquee, and bezel) gondomania (w/ marquee and bezel), and bermuda triangle (no marquee or bezel) this would be a great cab for anyone looking for those classic games or someone who wants an mvs setup sometime in the future. it'd make a good mvs, and it needs a good home. i've redone the controllers, and cleaned the thing up a bit. and now it's up to yous guys. i'll let this thing go for $300, or for a 1-slot mvs supergun that would normally go for the same price. i can't ship it, as i don't really know how. so if you want it here it is come and get it. i think it's a deal for such a good condition cab (it was made in 87 and it's still in great shape) so come on down here, drop the cash or the sg and it's yours, and if you don't live to far from me i'll help you set it up. just make sure you have a truck before you make the trek.
and if you want references, ask around neo-geo.com for em(my name there is kim _kaphwan) check out my username at gametz.com it's kim_kaphwan98, or check out my ebay name: waveschoch.

Arcade games are not easy to sell on a whim. You have to put a lot of work into it. Post something over at the big arcade newsgroups (rec.games.video.arcade.marketplace and rec.games.video.arcade.collecting) and see what happens. Also think about going the eBay route. Just put somewhere in the text that it's pickup only, and you should have no problem finding a bidder.

It's funny how 4/5's of this thread are all hermonicaman posts. Also i suggest repainting the sides black and then put that sucker on ebay. It would bring the most money there.

Where are you located at? I'm in Oklahoma City and looking for some games for my personal game room. Oh, and what's MVS? Sorry, I just mostly play 'em, don't know too much about the guts yet.

You don't technically need a credit card to open a seller's account. You could always open a checking account, and at most banks they offer a debit card. Those will work. Also, I vaguely remember reading somewhere on eBay about a service where members will, for a fee, run auctions for non-members. I don't have the linik handy, but you might want to go have a look. If you're still having trouble, look at the member list here and see if anybody else is in your area. Chances are somebody from here lives right by you, and would be happy to help you out.
BTW, MVS is NeoGeo's arcade system. Most machines are 1 or 2 slots, which allow 1 or 2 games to be plugged in, although some machines can hold 6 games.

Ah, that all makes sense now. I was familiar (at least in theory) with the Neo Geo cart system, but I didn't realize it was called MVS. Makes perfect sense now.
Harmonicaman, the deal sounds good to me. I'll sent you a PM, but I am planning on picking it up October 11th, if that date works for you.
Also, can you give me rough measurements of the cabinet? I really just need to know how tall/wide it is. My wife is saying the thing will fit in the back of our minivan (Honda Odyssey) with the seats out. I had previously planned on trailering it back. Thanks man!

it wont fit in a van, trust me, bring a truck it's a much better bet. loading/unloading it from the van would be hell on you. come on down in a pickup truck, or with a trailor, and a dolly, and you'll be fine.

All's well that end's well. After 22 hours in the car on a trip that took much longer than anyone anticipated, the Heavy Barrel cabinet is now sitting in my driveway. I'll post the whole story tomorrow when I wake up from passing out in about ten seco...
