I have recently have been playing my Ti and really am enjoying it. I have tried Jawbreaker 2, Chisolm Trail and Zero Zap. They seem like interesting games and all, but I don't quite understand the mechanics of them very well. Is someone able to post and explain how to play these games so I can try and play them and see if I actually enjoy them?

Someone Please help.

Thanks

Gee, another TI99/4a fan.

If you don't mind me asking, I described a game in this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19273&highlight=ti99+4a) recently whose name I cannot identify. Would you happen to know?

Zero Zap let me think... I think the goal was to get all the numbers in as few launches as possible. Each time you launch, you bounce off things at different angles (all mulitples of 90 though). You try set yourself up for a launch that will bounce around for a long time running through each number, I think each time you ran through a number, it was reduced by one, until it got to 0. Once all numbers were 0 or gone, you won.

I guess you've noticed that certian bricks move when hit, you move those around (by running your whatever against them) to position them so that your guy/ship/thing can be launced elsewhere to bounce off it, to go through the numbers.

It takes awhile to figure out, but once you do your guy is going to be bouncing around for minutes at a time.

I hope I got that right, I haven't played it in years. I can't find 2 out of 3 TIs, the speech synthesis module, nor about 50 games. :/

Jawbreaker 2 - Haven't played it in a while...may be a little off...

Basically a Pac-Man variation..eat the dots...avoid the giant wafers of death (ok, they're flat Jawbreakers I guess)...power pellet in the corners, you know how to use those right??...lather, rinse, repeat (one of my favorites :) )

If you get a chance, get parsec and burgertime, too! They are awesome games for the mighty TI!!

Find a copy of Donkey Kong too. The TI version is excellent.

I have Parsec, Burgertime, and Donkey Kong. They are all great but DK is just plain awsome. I figured out how to play Jawbreaker 2, played it for a while, a good idea that gets repetitive and boring fast. I still can't figure out Chisolm Trail or Tombstone City, both seem pretty dull though. I have also been enjoying TI Invaders, Bigfoot and to a certain degree, TI Toad. I think that The Attack is flat out the most utterly horrid and painful game I have ever played in the classic era. Anyone have more suggestions, Because this system is just plain great.

Junkman Junior is a pretty good port of Jumpman Junior, but I think it is really rare. Moon Patrol is pretty good too.

I always liked 'The Attack'.

Super Demon Attack
Tunnels of Doom is great, if you like early RPGs.
Shamus
Pac-Man--A little slow, faster after board 5.
Hopper
Fathom
Star Trek
Q*Bert
Dig Dug, Jungle Hunt, and Centipede are OK.

M.A.S.H. is abusive with the Speech Synthesizer.
