I'm sure this E-Bay seller has been discussed here before but everytime I see one of his auctions I just cringe but this one takes the cake. And the thing is people are actually buying his games for this price.

Uhm....whats wrong with this?
Yeah a lot of his other auctions are over priced, but this one seems pretty accurate to me.

You don't think that price is a wee bit high for a dirt common game sealed??? :hmm: Think about it...if it's a greatest hits, it sold boatloads of copies...

The Greatest Hits version is dirt common sealed.
This isn't the Greatest Hits version.
I've seen sealed copies of the Non Greatest Hits version of FF7 pull over $200.
Honestly, I wouldn't buy the game, but thats just because I think the FF series is overrated :/

I think the buyer was thinking FFVII though.
This is the norm for FFVIII.

WOW, what a difference! One sealed FF8 went for $125 and the other for $25? WTF is with that?
I actually DID buy two copies of this game when it was brand new in 9/9/99 and I'm still holding on to it -- along with a FF9 and FF10. I'm hoping someday I can sell them for at least more then I paid for them. :P

iif it had a greatest hits version that means the original must have sold a lot of copies

Well, FFTactics also has a greatest hits version. Have you seen any of those original, brand new, still sealed ones around lately?

I wouldn't be surprised if it passes the $100 mark.

A lot of his games are VERY VERY overpriced. Bust a move '99 for the playstation for $40 not sealed? Hell, I think I can get that game for $5 (I HAVE gotten that game for $5)
Final fantasy 7 has a cult following, and sealed originals go for a lot. Final Fantasy 8 does NOT have that strong of a following (I personally think it's one of the best, but not many people do) and should NOT be going for that much.

Final Fantasy 8, new from $14.00 and up. (Amazon also has FFX-2 available for $37 already, lol)

I think the whole buying sealed games is okay if you are going to play them, but just for keeping sealed thats a little crazy to me. FF7 does have something going for it. I jsut sold my copy of ff7 pc version for 35.00 and that was just cd's and folder the cd's cmae in , no box. I only paid 9.99 for it brand new:)
Can anone tell me though why suikoden 2 goes for so much how low of a print run does it have?

I would only pay a little more for new sealed games if it was for older systems. Such as NES, SMS, or perhaps SNES. Paying $130 for FF8 is insane!
