The gallery still needs to be captioned (in fact, this will be done by YOU in the Off-Topic thread - head over there next to see), but the pictures from Sean Kelly's weekend event are now online.

Great time. Sean has a terrific store with lots of space and excellent location. He's going to do very well there!

How come there aren't any photos of the fantastic video game timeline I keep hearing about?

Because you're not looking hard enough?

Check it out. Right side, above the games themselves. Cool, huh?

Had a great time on Saturday! While I missed the Mecca-like experience of walking into his garage, hanging out in Sean's store was definitely worth the ride from Cheeseland. He has a great mix of the old and new, and lots of both to choose from.

Great to see the DP luminaries there, plus the mix of ordinary people walking into the store over the course of the day was an interesting new twist. Saw a family come in where the Mom was clearly thinking "...what have I walked in to?" and I heard a familar lament from a Gamestop employee (3 blocks down the street) who now wished he hadn't gotten rid of all of his old stuff.

Enjoyed the usual mix of amazing tradebait, along with the always entertaining haggling for a deal...for example, my most involved trade, spanning several hours and multiple strategies netted me an empty Genesis Bimini Run box...fun, fun, fun.

And the decade's-plus worth of spare consoles from thrift and rummage lots that I had faithfully planned to Ebay (yeah, right) has finally found a good home. The perfect storm of Sean needing classic consoles, my wife asking for the 100th time when I was going to start Ebaying all this junk, and me finally accepting that that was never going to happen has led to a result where everyone was happy...plus I finally came back from one of these things with more cash than I went in with!

I did manage to come back with more than just some extra cash though. Here's my haul for the day...the most significant hit to my trade box was my complete 32X Spiderman - but that sealed KID VID package is helping me cope :).

Yes, those NES boxes are empty, but boxing up more of my NES collection was one of my main goals for the day. And thanks for the shrinked Melody Blaster Joe...since it's sealed I won't be hunting for the INTV keyboard quite so fanatically.

Already looking forward to next year's get together, but I can guarantee the 1-1/2 hour trip to Sean's store will be happening more than once a year!

Hey Rich, out of curiousity - who DID finally end up with Spiderman: Web of Fire, and what did you get in return (it reads like it was the Kid Vid)? I know you had lots of inquiries.

Great seeing you "in person" again.

Wow, I look wide in that one pic. LOL

Was nice to finally meet a few peeps from the boards. Joe gave me a hard time about my retarded anti rom tirades. :) Was all in good fun.

Only thing I acquired in trade was some old gaming mags. Found some with some cool 2D fighter ads and reviews.

Also bought Mario RPG from Goodwill Hunter, too bad I had nothing good to trade him for that Radiant Silvergun.

Oh, and Chunky hooked me up with a few records, most notably the banned GNR cover. For free. That was awesome. :rocker:

Pachinko is weird.

Sean got that one near the end of the day. After we went through my mountain of hardware, we did some old fashioned game trading....my Spidey 32X plus a box of SNES games for, you guessed it, that minty fresh KID VID. Only the 2nd item in my collection that will likely retain its shrinkwrap (I know I'm gonna peel that Melody Blaster as soon as I find a keyboard!)...the first being that NES Cheetahmen II I got from you last year, also at Sean's. What would I do without you guys?

Sean's store is cool.

Once again, I managed to trade away all of my old boxes (with the added satisfaction of giving Rich a mild headache... he he he). I couldn't put together enough empty Sega CD cases to get Radiant Silvergun; however, I ended up giving away my best stuff (those SNES rom copiers) for free.

I strategically went home without the pachinko knowing that I'd get it from Butta next year with tech improvements! Maybe a built in Video Simon?

Another fun year. By the way, does anyone have some coleco tabletops (working or not working, battery cover not necessary)? I am still looking for some show pieces. I can't believe no one brought those.

Love the gamers, tolerate the collectors.

You know that Vectrex looks like it could do some serious damage if it fell on someone's head :beaten:
