As I was watching the Simpsons on UPN 50 out of Detroit ysterday (the 29th), a commerical came on that looked quite familiar....a Dreamcast commercial!!! It was the one littered with Sega and other characters (prominitely featuring Tails and Afro Thunder) as the kid holding the console looks down through the power button. Kind of a strange error if it was one don't you think?????

LOL

I've noticed that happen from time to time too, always with a show in syndication (and also usually the Simpsons, but that's not as strange since it's just about the only thing I watch on TV).

I usually notice some commercial for something that's old, and once I catch the goofup, I notice that the next (and sometimes previous) commercials were old too, promoting some movie from last year, etc. Haven't seen one as cool (or as immediately obvious) as the DC commercial though. :) I've always chalked it up to someone forgetting to do their job, maybe just forgetting to strip ouit the old advertisements or whatever the process is. Perhaps PDF may be able to shed some light on the subject. ;)

Yes. I understand that PDF has long experience as a commercial stripper.

I saw that and thought it was sweet...I was falling asleep, and then I saw that, it jerked me up, as the wave of nostalgia and confusion hit.

Where's my SMB3 commercial? LOL

I thought the "MARIO! MARIO! MARIO! MARIO!" commercial was for SMB2?

Hmm.. I still think it was 2. It couldn't have been 1990! Maybe it was.

Anyone know where one could find some cool old commercials for Nintendo stuff? I've only ever seen Atari commercials. I could care less about another Megamania 80's Rock Devo-type commercial. I WANT NINTENDO!!!

No, SMB2 was the closeup of the plants popping up, set to funky techno music.

(Dang, there are so many ways that can be interpreted...)

Hmm.. I THINK I remember that one faintly.

I REALLY wanna see these commercials again. As well as the NES introduction commercial with R.O.B. hatching out of a TV.

SOMEONE must have digitized these things!

Someone HAS digitized old NES commercials. The SMB 3 commercial is not among the group I linked to, but I do have it on my computer--I downloaded from SOMEBODY, but I forget where. But check out NES TIMES for some good old commercials. I know its not the ONLY place for them, but its a good one.

Anyway, I got the first one. Great commercial!

Anyway. YOu gotta find the SMB3 one!

And the SMB2! I gotta see these again!

Were there ANY commercials with SMB1 in them? I don't remember.

Edit: I just wanted to say FILEPLANET SUCKS BALLS AND IS SHIT! I hate when people use it. I am NOT going to pay monthly to download stuff and it needs to die.

Oh, and seems the site with the movies other than FP has died for the night.

Oh well.

DEATH TO FILEPLANET!

AVI? No thanks. AVI's only good enough for porn. Real porn. And only if it's encoded with a codec that people actually have.
