Wow. I'll have to get this one right away. Very cool, though I was hoping for an actual game. Some nice extras for this dvd would be the complete storyline for the original game (and the cloud/aeris/sephiroth parts in Kingdom Hearts) and all the FMV from the game. Maybe these will be included...

they should re-release final fantasy 7 the game (international version) around the same time and get rid of those block hands. That oughta be good for a bundle of money

So wait, is it a game or movie? Everything I've seen up til now says movie, then I saw this.

Agreed. Aside from those Popeye-like character models, the game's look has aged well enough. Unfortunately, Square has stated that they have no plans to remake FFVII as long as it can be played on Sony's current hardware.

I dunno. I rather liked the original ending of FFVII, and the idea of an entirely cinematic epilogue doesn't seem necessary, even if it's being put together by the same staff. That, and Sephiroth looks like some androgynous j-rocker.

Maybe it's all just an insidious ploy to maintain interest for another four years before cashing in on an overly pricy tenth anniversary edition.
