Played it once in a local arcade and never saw it again.....mujst have been 1984 or 85....
It was a sit-down, right next to a Star Wars sit-down cab.
The screen, as I recall it, was ROUND....ie: not rectangular...controls seemed pretty basic, you were flying a ship that for some reason reminded me of a Colonial Viper from Battlestar Galactica, and you were flying over a "planet". You were seeing your ship on the lower portion of the screen as though you were sitting above and behind it.......you had a fighter-stick type of joystick. When you pushed down you pitched the nose of your ship down and so forth, and the ground would "rush up".
On the ground were what looked like bases or guns or whatever..and the object was to fly around and point the nose of your ship down and shoot them.......
I'll be damned if Ic an remember the name, its pretty obscure and didn't stick around in the arcade very long...anyone know what game this is? I think there was a throttle handle in the cab too but its been too long for me to remember.
