I recently dug out my TurboGrafx and started playing The Legendary Axe II (which isn't really a sequel to the Legendary Axe, but that's another story). I enjoyed it, far more than I did the first Axe, but I don't know what to make of the ending.

Who's the purple-haired chick? There's no mention of her in the instruction manual. Is she some nameless assassin? Or maybe some forgotten member of the royal family who has decided to forego black magic or heroism in favor of the time-honored art of sneaking up on someone and whacking 'em? Or maybe she's just going to force the king at swordpoint to put some clothes on, for God's sake.
And is there another ending to The Legendary Axe II? The finale seen above is a hell of a downer.
