I need a Nintendo Famicom and quick (as in about a week, since I'm about to move).

Preferably an AV Famicom
then a regular Famicom
and if all else fails a Famiclone.

It needs to be NTSC, and I need all the cables, controllers, etc. No box/manuals is fine. If you have some spare games you want to throw in, that would be great too.

Right now I only have a few things to trade to whittle down the price, but am willing also willing to pay via paypal.

Potential trades:

Fairchild Channel F carts with boxes.
The boxes are generally poor condition, the cartridges are in great/excellent condition. Unfortunately, I don't have a Channel F system, so I cannot test them, thus are as is.

1 CB - has price tag on box
2 CIB - has price tag on box
3 CIB - Top sticker has dried off, but is included, has price tag on box
8 CB
9 CB
10 CB - Top sticker has dried off, but is included
11 CIB
12 CB - has an obnoxious bright orange "I came from Adrays" sticker on box
15 CIB - Top sticker has dried off, but is included

I also have a Super Game Boy 2 (import) 100% complete. Box is in poor condition, but the cartridge appears to have never been used (no grime/scuffs on the contacts).

And finally, Zelda 3 (US) factory sealed.

*edit*

I also have a Sega Nomad. The screen has some minor scratches, and overall the units cosmetic condition would be "great" I also have the batery pack, and a thrid party AC adaptor.

Just curious, how is a famicom different from using a converter on an nes?

If you have a front loader, you need to disable the lockout chip. The top loader and AV famicom are pretty much the same thing, and the adaptor would work (no lockout chip on this one).

Unfortunately, I don't have a top loader, and can't fathom paying $100+ on eBay for one.

Additionally, if anyone knows of a store in the Detroit Metro area where I can pick one up, that would work as weill.

Hi Sisko, I've got a working original Famicom that I would trade or sell. If you are looking to use it though I think you might not be happy with it. In my experience they don't work very well on a US tv. The best I've been able to get is a slightly snowy picture. Let me know if you're interested though. I might be willing to make a trade involving those Channel F carts.
Thanks, y-bot

I don't have any picture, but I can get you one. It is in the shape of a PSOne...pretty cool too. I believe read somewhere, that If you can remove the cover carefully you can even use the famicom disk system with it...don't quote me on that...but that would be rather cool since most famiclones are odd shaped and the disk system just won't fit... I was totally joking with sisko but if you are interested in the PolyStation 3, I'm willing to part with it. PM me...it is in mint condition too.
