I have a feeling you'll enjoy the anticipation more than the game....

I liked monkey ball 1, monkey ball 2 is just a frustratingly bad game imo. It seeme like they made a LOT of the levels frustrating JUST for the sake of being frustrating. And by that I mean NO skill required, just a TON of luck. (2 good examples, the level whe you get shot up the big tube in the middle, and arthropod, or whatever it's called. And coin slot, what a STUPID level that is...)

I echo same of Sylentwulf's sentiments about some levels that do require dumb luck to finish. I don't feel it ruins the game. Arthropod is by far the worst of the offenders. The one with the spinning needle is another I dislike strongly :( I can now finish that level where it shoots you up the ramp on my first try 95% of the time :)

Heads up! The single player levels in Monkey Ball 2 suck ass! ;-)

Sylentwulf, that big tube level and Arthropod are the reasons I stopped playing the game. I read strategies for Arthropod in hopes I was missing something obvious, and most of them involved pausing the game and timing moves down to the second based on the clock, or just relying on dumb luck. That is RETARDED. And why do all the levels begin on that stupid runway?

The main reason that Monkey Ball 2 sucked is because there are WAY too many levels where you have to rely on timing your moves around ridiculous moving obstacles, rather than navigating tricky patterns with a minimum of moving parts. The original excelled in creative path layouts and required white-knuckled navigation. Not dumb luck.
