I picked up an item a few weeks ago called "TEE-V Golf" It looks like it may plug into the joystick port on my Genesis. I only paid .50 for it so I was wandering what all it came with and what exactly it does.

Does anyone else have one or know anyting about it?

I was JUST talking to a freind about this.....that's really weird. Anyway, there was a SNES version and a Genesis version (maybe more??). If you remember "Batter Up," it's the same basic principle. You swing the club, the golfer swings on screen. I'm not sure what games ended up actually supporting it, but one or 2 of EA's PGA series did. I have the batter up for the SNES which is great for Ken Griffey, but I've never been able to dig up the golf one. Just for fun, try siwnging the club backwards. Usually works just as well... ;)

Yeah I had this thing.

It comes with a club, which is a golf club handle and shaft, cut short with a weight and a transmitter on the end.

There is a sensor which you plug into the Genesis and you swing the club over the sensor (which has a golf ball painted on it)

The sensor is supposed to determine the speed of your swing and whether is is straight across or not, this will determine how far the ball flies and if it goes straight or not.

Its a neat little contraption.

The weight of it though is what detracts from being more authentic.

And I never really "Let it rip" with it either for fear of whacking the ceiling.

It is fun, I used it with PGA Championship Golf, although I'm not sure how many other games its compatible with.

I think its worth it for .50

There is actually also a Baseball (obviously with a bat instead of a club) equivalent to that as well, although I've never tried it out.

here's the kicker though, I don't have the club for the Tee-V golf, just the sensor. :/ oh well maybe the club will turn up somewhere. on a somewhat related note, I do have the bat for the SNES that y'all are speaking of, but not the senso...weird

Hmmm.... now it's been awhile since I had either of these out, but I'm pretty sure the sensor is the same on both. So take the sensor for Tee-V and the bat from Batter Up, fire up RBI Baseball and have some fun :)
