View Full Version : PSX Diablo - rare alternate version?

I remember a thread a while back about a rumor that early PSX Diablos existed with extra features on it... what were they? I ask because I think I have one in my hold box at work and I'd like to know whether to get it or not. Any markings that would let me know if it's more rare than the usual Diablo game. The cover did look a little different, but without another copy to match off of I couldn't be sure.

There is one that had multiplayer on it, multitap compatible maybe? Can anyone refresh my memory on this??

The one I had had 2 player on it but it bogged down so much I think 4 player wouldn't work.

I'm pretty sure that our resident PSX guru Kris has confirmed that there's no such thing as the rumored "4-player" version of Diablo. Would have been cool, but it just isn't so.

So there is no special edition. Period. It is just rumored? I guess I can stop looking at diablo's for PSX now. :embarrassed:

There's no special edition. The special edition is the 4-player version that even had promotional box art, but the game never surfaced.
