Although, it may just be me that thinks these auctions are rediculous...

I checked with a good friend of mine who plays a lot of EQ.

She said that it's technicaly illegial to buy items for your charcters from online auctions like EBay (she won a few herself that way) but due to the large market for it most of it is allowed.

It's the really big name stuff like the L100 characters and what not that will get noticed and pulled. :)

There used to be alot of EQ auctions on ebay when it first came out. But then at the players request Verant made Ebay stop listing auctions for EQ items, chars.

Buying/selling EQ items on Ebay isn't supposed to be alowed. If they get reported the auctions will get pulled. Just like any auctions for mods or US/JP adapters will get pulled.

People still put up those stupid EQ guides by the by the thousands. I really don't know who would by them :frustrated:

There was thousands of EQ items/chars on ebay at one point until Verant stepped in. Some people were making a living selling platinum and items on there (doesn't sound like a bad job) LOL

If you had a high level character about 6-12 months after the game launched, chances are it was worth around $1000. A number of people I knew in game auctioned their characters.

I would have thought that the GBA SP would have been a mistake, but it's apparently been up for a few days. :hmm:
