Hello,
I was looking around in a game store today and saw that they had some copies of the game. They were loose, so no boxes or manuals. So, how much would you say a loose SNES Legend of Zelda cartridge be worth?

to give you a straight answer superpsycho, not very much you can find copies all over the place pawn shops, flea markets etc. no way you should pay more than $5 for a cart only copy.

Ah ok, I kinda figured $20 was a bit excessive.
What, was my answer not CLEAR enough for you?

Zelda, and SMW are dirt common snes games.. I would wager that with any amount of looking you could find a copy for $1.99 sooner or later..
both games rock though so even $5 is worth it if you don't own them. very few snes games are worth more then $10 so I'd look elsewhere for a source of SNES games then where you were. Most pawn shops have snes at $5.00 and flee markets are $5-$7 depending on the dealer. And even the guys who want 7.00 will take $5 if you buy like 4 games.. "I'll give you $20 for these 4 games" ok..

However, it is likely that the re-release of Zelda on the GBA will have the same effect than Super Mario Advance 2 did on SMW: I noticed an increase in pricing for carts that were rereleased, regardless of their rarity. So, make sure you shop around (and yes, $40 is a lot, especially for a loose cart).
