up and fliping the game reset switch?
The reason that I ask, is because I have my 2600 hooked up to a big screen TV in my living room, and I have the controllers hooked up to two extension cords, to reach the couch comfortably.
The only problem is, as soon as my Breakout game is over, I have to get my lazy azz off the couch and flip the game reset switch.
I really wish there was some kind of trick to just reset the game without having to hit that game reset switch every time.

A Long Stick.
Other than that, you're going to have a lot of long wiring and console modification on your hands :)

get a 25 ft rca cable that is an extension cable or one of those female to female RCA cables, and an extension power cord, and put the unit on your lap.

The getting the lazy azz of the couch seems to be a good idea :eek 2:

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of tying a string to the game reset switch, and then tying the other end to my big toe.
Then when I need to reset the game, I just move my big toe.
Sounds like a great American idea for the ultimate in laziness!

You'd probably end up pulling the game system off the table.

Lots of 2600 games start with the fire button.. but they're usually the later games. The rest, you gotta press that reset switch.
When I was a kid I was a master of the big toe flick of the reset switch :P

If they start with the fire button, you could plug the A/C adapter of your Atari into an X-10 outlet ... then you could use an X-10 remote to turn the Atari off and on again, and then start the game with the fire button.
Hey, maybe we're on to something.

You could do what I did for my sms...I modded a genesis controller to use the A button as the pause button. That way, I could use a turbo controller and get slow mo. It's the only reason I ever beat Rambo.
So, mod a genesis controller. Sounds like a real easy mod! Or, get an extension cord for the power and use the switch on a power strip to just turn it off then on again...however, since most atari 2600 games require the reset switch to be hit, that could suck for some games.

I was going to say....
You could run an extension cord..to a switched plug board and sit that near your feet..
You would just plug the Atari AC adapter into that and switch the power off/onto reset the whole system..
I'm so tired tonight..I hope I make sense... x_x
This would be the cheapest way..

Make some kids, get them to do it for you.
*note* -- this also works with getting another beer.

Wow! That is really funny! But oh so politically incorrect. Very funny though.
