I was looking at an old gaming mag, and they were doing a preview on the upcoming release of the Atari Jaguar, and one of the games that they did a preview on, was Tiny Toon Adventures.

I'm assuming that this game never came out. I wonder why? Does anybody know why this one never hit retail? The reason I find it strange that it never came out, is because it was being worked on before the system was even released, not during the last days of the Jag, where a cancellation would make more sense.

I don't know if it was the case with TTA, but Atari canned a lot of very cool looking games because they were 2D and felt that any new games needed to be texture mapped 3D games to compete with PS and Saturn. The only problem with that is the Jag can't do texture mapped 3D good. I believe it was worked on. Someone posted the MOD music files from Jaguar TTA on the their site.

It's on the Jaguar console box as well, so I would think it existed somewhat... there's multiple shots of the game on the box.

Is this game supposed to be anything like the SNES version?

Who knows for sure? Most Jag games were pretty much straight Amiga/MD ports. Same CPU.
