Here's a toughie.

Between 1994-1995, I bought several video arcade games. I am trying to find out the name of one of them. I know that sound strange, but let me explain. First of all, the game was in a Punch Out two monitor cabinet, so the cabinet itself didn't give any clues. Second of all, most of the text (if I remember correctly) was in Japanese.

The game was a fighting game a'la Street Fighter, except all the main people resembled the girls from Sailor Moon. I don't know if they were the actual Sailor Moon characters, or just generic copies of them. Other than that, I remember that it was just a standard fighter. Maybe one of the girls had a magic wand that could power her up or something? It's been too many years.

Unfortunately, when I moved this was one of the cabs I had to "dump" (sold all of them for less than $100 each). I'd like to figure out what this game was, and possible play it again on MAME.

Thanks in advance, you electronic sleuths you.

I know there exists a "Sailor Moon" arcade game from approx. that time, though it's gameplay resembles "Final Fight" over "Street Fighter". Look for "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon". There's a Super Famicom game (and apparently a version on the Saturn) featuring "Sailor Moon" knock-offs, "Seifuku Densetsu: Pretty Fighter". I've got that one and enjoy it quite a bit, if only for the character models. :hmm:

Sailormoon Super S was a street fighter type where you could graph the players attributes. It came out on the Super Famicom, Saturn, Playstation, and 3DO. SFC version is the best though.

I believe Sailormoon S was also a Street Fighter type, but only came out on the SFC (and maybe the MegaDrive)

Yeah, I saw that game on KLOV. It must not be an actual Sailor Moon game, because it's not any of those. And it was definitely a 1 on 1 fighting type game, not a side scrolling beat 'em up. I'll keep looking on KLOV.

Try Advanced V.G. It's way better than Pretty Fighter, especially AVG2.
