The C64 equivalent of the XEGS. Only released in Europe. I read only 17,000 units were sold. Can anyone verify this?

I believe my entry in the guide is a typo, and should be around 37,000 sold instead. Still sales figures are like plucking flies out of thin air with chopsticks at times :roll:
Many of them were returned as faulty anyhows, and the rest were broken down to use as parts in normal C64s. So dunno how many still working ones out there still. You see one on eBay maybe every month or two. Loose value is about $60, complete value (with polystyrene inserts and cardboard cover) is $150+.

Like sniper said, i have one for sell (or trade). brought this on Ebay UK 2 years ago. I also got an outer shell (casing only) of the C64GS, which i almost finsihed doing a C64GS NTSC.
How do you do this ? Simply! First, try to find a C64 II computer and keep only the motherboard. All c64 II motherboards are exactly the motherboards of the C64GS (fits like a charm!). After you have to redress the cart slot and change the kernal rom with a eprom and the kernel rom dump of the C64GS, and burn the C64GS kernel rom bin, that's it! Now you've got a C64GS NTSC.
I know, many of you doesn't have an EPROM burner, so try to find someone who has one or get one, very neat little thing when it comes to making projetcs like this one.
