Maybe I'm just easily amused but this thing is cool as hell!
I spotted a boxed Odyssey2 at a flea market yesterday. When I asked if it came with any games they popped open the box to reveal 6 boxed games and low and behold "the Voice". 2 of the games were voice enhanced, Type and Tell and KC's Crazy Chase.
I must have spent a half hour just typing stuff and listening to my OD2 talk. Yeah, I made is swear too (simple things amuse simple minds) and even had it carry on a conversation with my daughter.
HA HA HA HA HA, INCREDIBLE!!

Of course the Odyssey games were boxed. They're always boxed. Why couldn't CV owners been this nice to their carts, why, why, why... :(

Well, then we're both easily amused. :) I love The Voice! module too. That slightly insane laughter and the different emphasis stuff is just plain fun. Love it.
InCREDible! LOL

"C'mon, turkey, HIT IT!"
Hopefully Smithereens is among those games, or you can find a copy. Best. Party game. Ever.
Gotta love that game-show-host-who's-just-sucked-down-half-a-tank-of-nitrous-oxide voice though. I sure hope someone comes up with a homebrew for the O2 that uses the Voice!

Haha the Turkey is the best. Also love that "bzzzzzzzz!" in the bee game. I've got to get an Odyssey^2 someday. Good stuff!

I was without an O2 system for so long and finally got one off Ebay recently. I missed the hokey Voice games, especially Smithereens and Turtles and Killer Bees. Now that I've got my fix again, I wonder how the hell I ever sent Timelord my old O2 collection!

I had so much fun with Type and Tell when I got the voice unit. It's aweosme, and I don't know why. I also have to say, the voice adds to Attack of the Timelord. It doesn't show in emulation, but it sounds so cool on the actual console.

Smithereens is one I don't have, I'll of course be looking for it.
that's what I love about this site, people who can relate to and share my joy!
I showed the voice thing to my wife and she was like "uh... yeah, that's uh... cool Den". she just doesn't understand.

Surprised they didn't use Leonard Nimoy's voice for the Voice games...
Could someone describe that RPG game for the Odyssey 2? I've always wondered about it.

They couldn't, because it's not a real voice. It's this weird tinny synthesized voice. The technology didn't exist then to use a real voice.

For some real fun try stringing together the WAV files from The Voice and create sentences to dazzle and delight the masses!

Sounds like when I hooked up my son's speak and spell to my home theatre system, cranked that sucker up to 70, and nearly split my head open with the apostrophe sound.
