Yesterday evening, upon arriving home, I found a square box, approximately 2' x 2', with a UPS label on it, had been delivered to me. The return label showed Dr. Simons' office address! Excitedly, I pulled out my keys, cut through the tape, and opened the box up.
I pulled out of the box:
-- 4 original Gameboys. These all looked like they had been through WWII.
2 of them had copies of Tetris in the cart slot, with labels that were shot to hell. (Perhaps people's hands sweat when they're being worked on at the dentist's office?)
An external Gameboy battery pack
2 other, different battery packs for the Gameboy, designed to fit where the batteries ordinarily live. Each has bent up/mangled contacts, but I think I can fix them. Also, each of them don't stay in the battery compartment without rubber bands or tape or something, but that's easily fixed or worked around.
1 Red Gameboy Pocket that looks like new! Even had working batteries inside! I played Tetris last night, scored 9426, I think. I entered my name - do Gameboy carts have nvram, or battery backup?
A Gameboy Link Cable
4 Game Gears, one with a carry strap attached to the bottom. Each is obviously used, but they all look pretty good, with no major cosmetic flaws.
5 Game Gear AC Adapters
Sega Game Gear Battery Pack
Sonic 2 for Game Gear
Another Game Gear game I don't recall - some sort of Air Combat thing
Several extra battery covers for Gameboys & Game Gears, as well as one that I don't know where it came from.
Some strange table-top electronic talking football game. This thing is red and V-shaped, has a small LCD screen, and 2 sets of controls, one at each end, facing toward the open center of the V. The screen is at about point of the V, and faces toward the open end....
Aw, hell, here's what Google found -->
