Sarasota, Florida — October 7, 2003 — Infinium Labs and Riverdeep, Inc. today announced a distribution agreement that will allow Infinium Labs to market Riverdeep’s extensive catalog of award-winning video games and edutainment software on the Phantom Game System. The titles will be available to subscribers of the PhantomNet –VPGN™ (Virtual Private Game Network) services on both a pay-per-play and pay-to-own basis.

Infinium Labs’ Phantom Game System allows subscribers to instantly search, preview, purchase and download interactive game content and digital entertainment over Phantom’s secure, high-speed game network with unprecedented ease of use.

“The Riverdeep partnership underscores the growing demand for on-demand family entertainment and represents a major step forward in bringing the Phantom Game System to market,” said Timothy M. Roberts, President and CEO of Infinium Labs. “We are excited to be working with such an esteemed and diverse publisher as Riverdeep. Their library of games, kids’ entertainment, educational and productivity software is tops in its class. We are thrilled to welcome them to the Phantom family,” Roberts said.

“We are delighted to be working with Infinium Labs on the roll-out of its Phantom Game System” commented Damian Dale, Riverdeep Director of OEM Sales. “Digital distribution of software is here now and will be the wave of the future. Infinium Labs has developed an outstanding service with the security needs of the content owners firmly in mind. We are excited to be a part of this revolutionary distribution program.”

The agreement covers a wide-range of current titles from Riverdeep’s catalog, and includes such beloved brands as Carmen Sandiego, Clue Finders, Reader Rabbit, Zoombinis and Mavis Beacon.

Dude, I don't think Riverdeep has THOSE games. As far as I know, this (http://www.broderbund.com/ProductGroup.asp?CID=640&s=1) is their catalog.

So basically, their target audience (OMG FAST GAME X-TREME SUUUUUURGE!) has nothing to be even remotely excited about.

Let's just give this Infinium guy a pat on the back and a "better luck next time" before he's driven to suicide.

Even so...if I could believe this software had a Phantom to run on it would be good news. We still haven't seen any sign of the Phantom, and even if they are out there they haven't been beta tested (judging from the response different folks who've signed up to get one have had).

I'd shed not a single tear if that happened. All this bastard is done is sell out his investors time after time, with only ONE "success" which was more akin to a mitigated failure in his record. He's gotten to live the high life off of people's money for far too long and the nicest fate I think fitting for him would be to die in prison.

Hey Sylentwulf, what's your source for that press release?

What? The obvious answer...

Only the Phantom knows.

Hey Sylentwulf, what's your source for that press release?

Came from pr@phantom.net. They have me on a list for beta testing, press releases, etc..etc..

Just on the off chance I get a beta machine of the biggest hardware flop in history, I signed up for everything on their website. I'd LOVE to keep that thing on a shelf ;)

I second that, and that's the ONLY reason I signed up. To say "yeah, I was there, man".

So let's get this straight. With a lack of any first party software (ha), and only one third party developer signed, it appears that the star mascot for the Phantom is...

READER RABBIT! Can Reader Rabbit possibly compete against such established mascots as Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario the Fatass? This bastard is banking on it.

Things look none-too-good as the Phantom's spokesperson apparently steals both Yosemite Sam's life partner and his love boat.
