View Full Version : I think I've lost my passion for collecting...

It's really wierd.

I told my self, this is it, this is my permanent hobby. But it seems that collecting is taking a major back seat to computers, family, friends, and just life in general. I have lost that feeling of joy when I find video games at a thrift or garage sale. I haven't played a console in a month or so now, I haven't been to DP or Atariage in a while, I don't really enjoy the gamestore, and a new package in the mail is no big deal.

Is this a normal phase collectors go through, Or is it really gone...?

Any help or support is greatly appreciated.

The DJ

Quit collecting, and sell all your SEGA stuff to ME, and for cheap!

No, it's not a normal phase. When you feel it, it's FINAL.

So I'll save you some time and give you my address. You can send your stuff here, I'll take care of it. Nice having you in the hobby, good luck with your future endeavors, stop by and visit us sometime.

eh, now that I think about it, I don't want to quit, just slim down.

@Racoonlad: I will have some sega stuff for sale, I'll keep ya posted.

@DP: I'll try to send some stuff your way, seeing as I won't be keeping much of anything.

You devil, you gave him the shock treatment. :) You knew, once you have the bug, ist might go to sleep and needs rest, but it's always there. :)

DJcapcomboy, you're overfed, your stomach is full. It's natural and healthy to stop eating for some time and eat much less - and then, you'll get hungry again and appreciate food.

Gaming, collecting, sex, playing sports...no matter what you do, most people reach a saturation phase when you exaggerate it; and the level what you can take before you need a break is for everyone different. It's natural and healthy to do something else before we go back to what we really appreciate, otherwise we all would go crazy and end up in a nut house.

I ahve been threw that 2 times. Sometimes you just have to lay off it, like I did. Now I am back to studying Video Games like it's a school class. :)
