In an RPG for an earlier console, which would you rather have: visual representations of monsters and other things, or that memory freed up for more kinds of monsters and maybe other gaming elements, such as a sort of gambling phase ("Murray the Minotaur's House of Chance and Luck")?

Everyone knows what a Skeleton, Orc, or a Wizard looks like, so no problem, but what about things such as Furies?

Gameplay, gameplay, story. Graphics secondary.

Actually, that would be Third, or perhaps even fourth if you count both of your "Gameplay" entries ;)

Aren't you supposed to be mourning your teacher?

Graphics are near the end of the list, but it's nice to have them if the gameplay is also up to speed. If not, sacrifice how pretty it looks so it'll play better.

Uhmerh, the three games offered in Murray's place are:

DICE- Based on ordinary dice. Payoff is based on what number you bet on. Since the odds of coming up with a 7 are 1 out of 6, payoff is only 2X; but 2 or 12 would be 1 out of 36, so payoff is 10X.

OGRE BLACKJACK- Similar to Blackjack, except you draw tiles out of a huge pot. There is a 30% chance of drawing a "10." Odds of drawing a 10 are reduced slightly (3%) each time you do. Face cards, and Aces, do not exist. You can Take, Stay, or Double.

WAGONWHEEL SPIN- Similar to Roulette. You bet even numbers of gold (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.). If you get the right color, you lose only half of your bet; if you get the right #, you win 5X, if you get both, you win 80X.
