In case anyone is interested, the Italian version of the rarest PAL NES game is up. It's listed as Roadland:

Does anyone know how much the language matters for this game?

I don't think language matters much at all in that game, if i remember correctly, it's sorta like the Fairyland Story.
And if anyone's interested in bidding, I've bought from this seller before (Smurfs for Master System, I think they still have new copies of this semi-rare game, listed as i-puffi, if anyone's interested), and they were a good seller.

Absolutely the game with the lowest ratio of game quality to game rarity out there. Language matters not, and the game is pretty fun.

Thanks for the link! I have been looking around ebay for this game for a while.
Anyway on a related note to Raccoonlad's statement, i MUST recommend the ebay seller bonaccorsi. I bought something off of him and he sent me a free game with it to. (Smurfs for master system) :)

Im getting tempted now, does anyone know how often these show up and how much they go for? Is this about as rare as Stadium Events?

It's generally regarded as the rarest retail NES cart in the world.

The NWC wasn't a retail cart.

Thats a lot for a pal game. I always see Stadium Events go for that much, but damn!
Has anyone ever seen any Panesian games on ebay? I have been looking but have turned up none.

This is what I don't understand. People are always harpin' about how rare Stadium Events is and that it's the hardest-to-find domestic release, but it seems like there is always one up on ebay. Panesians show up far less than the SE carts do. Reminds me about the time 4 or 5 years ago when people were insisting Tengen Tetris was the ultimate NES rarity.

In my opinion, the Panesians are the rarest NES games. I have seen SE on ebay about 3 times in the last 3 months, but i have NEVER seen a Panesian ever on ebay, and only once in real life at CGE.
If any of these ever go on ebay i would expect to pay way more than $150 as they are listed.
BTW i also remember how Tengen Tetris was considered very rare. Now you can get a complete copy for about $50!

i can't believe you kids have never seen panesian games on ebay(not that you are kids......but it fit good...k?) loose carts sell for atleast 300 and the particular one i found.......bubble bath babes if i remember correctly, was marked up with rental stickers(the void kind) for obvious reasons. since all of them were rentals.......and it had a starting bid of $400 and it got atleast one bid from what i saw. and i've seen people post them in this ebay section before when they find them. not that there are a lot on ebay but they are there.....maybe 2-3 a year. and all will pull $300 a game. SE got blown out of proportion since i know somebody that found 2 copies locally to him for VERY cheap. tengen tetris is NOT rare. at most i would say it is worth $10-$15. a couple of games that i see doing the same in value if NES continues it's stand........
bomberman 2
bubble bobble 2(NOT rainbow islands)
Lolo 3
all 3 of those pull good figures right now but i think they will rise in the near future. also....if anybody has any of the 3 previously mentioned games for sale i would love them :D

Oh, I've seen Panesians on ebay before. Actually I've seen quite a few (and even own all 3 complete) , but just allot less than I've seen Stadium Events. I think most people drop the big bucks on it just because they know it's one of those carts they'll never find "in the wild" and need it to complete their collection. It'll probably be the last one I'll get before mine is complete (either that or the Myraid 6-in-1).
About Tengen Tetris....I remember reading an interview online with the guy who programmed it (Ed Logg is it? Think it was on TSR's site). Anyway, he said that around 300,000 Tetris carts were sold before they were forced to pull them off the shelves. Rare my ass.

SE you can and may find in the wild. and i might be willing to say the same for panesian, you just have to stumble upon it the right way. mom and pop video stores are the only way to find great NES items. a store that is out of the way of things, i mean......i found over $4000 in sealed NES games for........a lot lot lot lot lot lot less than that :D and i even scored a ton of complete games from the same place......old rentals mainly but they were complete.....so......panesian is far rarer in my eyes.....SE is not that rare to me......when you can buy a complete hatris which is rated A.....for $25 and a complete SE would bring.....maybe $600.....not real sure since you don't see them all that often, or maybe i don't look but it's rated B+. but i'm not a rarity expert, it just seems off to me. and Tengen Tetris is an A- i believe, and i read that same interview somewhere.
more off topic crap, i think tengen tetris blows the original nintendo version clean out of the water. tengen's version is far more adictive.....the music period does it all, atleast i think.

Well, for the US, I still go for the Myriad 6 in 1 as the rarest US retail cart, solely because of the cart/box numbering versus the cart totalling that has been dug up on Stadium Events.
You can't go by eBay that much. Well, it can't be the end all be all of making that rarity call. Before the $400 loose SE a year or two back, there wasn't an SE up for a while.... then you could call SE rarer than the panesians. Now, SE is more high profile than it was and the rarity has been adjusted (versus Mike Elter's call, which IS several years old, and passed on time when he saw them pass through his hands). Then you could say the panesians edge out SE.
To get the true rarity, or to make a better assumption, you'd need production values, or some hinting at them. I've heard 5,000 per panesian, but that's more heresay than anything.
And don't forget, the level of rarity that the Myriad, panesians, and SE are at. They are like a tenth of a point apart. 900 vs 2000 (- destructed copies) isn't that much of a difference - compare that Top Gun! (1 million +)
