At the Goodwill found a
Virtual Boy w/ controller - minus the battery pack
and the following games
3D Tetris
Golf
Mario Tennis
Nesters Funky Bowling
Red Alarm
Vertical Force
Waterworld
Normally I only buy stuff that I want to play. I've never played this system before and since they had $8.00 for it I thought I'd grab it. I just need a battery pack (?) or figure out hoe to hook this thing up with AC. Also need a stand for it too.

I was gonna pick up a VB a few years ago when Toys R Us was clearing them out for $30 a piece... Problem was, they didn't come with battery packs, and the AC adapter was proprietary, as I remember. They were all sold our of both, anyway, so I never got one. :( You may be able to use D cells without a battery pack, though...

@bigdady: you can pick up an a AC adapter on ebay for around $15 or find a loose battery pack for $5-$7. You should give the Virtual Boy a chance though. I think most people assume it sucks just because it failed so miserably, but it really is a cool system. Funky Bowling and Wario Land are 2 of the best.
Anyway, hit the pawns today. Scored some choice finds:
Vertical Force
Mario Clash
(loose, $3 each)
Suikoden II (complete & totally mint, $10....SCORE! Now I've got all 3)
Tecmo Super Bowl (PSX complete, $3...I remember theses used to go for $60-$70 on ebay at one point, so I figure I should pick it up even though it sucks)
Top Gear 2- $3
Also picked up Disaster Report at Best Buy for $20. Man, this game is totally bitchin! Unlike anything I have ever played before!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm willing to give any game system a chance. Especailly when it only cost me $8. I've been burning up the net trying to find the stuff I need. I am gonna post in the buy and sell and see if someone may have a stand or battery pack lying around.

I forgot to mention earlier, the VB adapter is just a SNES adapter with a special "tap" that connects it to the controller. So if you already have a SNES power supply, all you really need is the tap. In Japan, these things were sold separately so you might be able to find one thru a online import store.

I traded in a review copy of NCAA Gamebreaker '04 in at Gamestop and got:
Kessen for PS2 (pre-owned but complete)
a SNES Ascii Pad (mint) (I had one as a kid but I sold it)
Outlaw Golf: Nine Holes of X-Mas Blockbuster Exclusive for Xbox (pre-owned but complete)
I'm most excited about Outlaw Golf. I had the TRU version already, but this is the one I've been looking for. I'm sure somebody here is gonna think I got jerked on my trade-in, but I'm not really into sports games...
Oh, and before I forget, 2 copies of the Metal Arms Xbox demo and a mail-in coupon for the True Crime soundtrack sampler (free @ Gamestop).

Very good find. Very lucky on the 3D Tetris and Waterworld find! BTW that is at least a $100 find. Most likely more.

You ain't kiddin'...sooner or later, probably around the 22nd century, Fort Smith may yet dip a toe into the 20th. Be patient, we just got this running water and electricity stuff down.
And, btw, I traded you Dragster, Football, Slot Racers and something else
D'oh! That's right. I've got so many "trade piles" around my game room even I get confused... :embarrassed:
By the way, you're the first-ever forum visitor to the Escape Pod. Probably the only one too before we (hopefully) move.

Pilotwings (SNES) - cart only, $16.50 AUS off eBay.com.au
Yes, I know this is incredibly over priced - but desperately wanted this game and I was sick of complete version going for over $40 AUS @_@
Plus I've never seen this game in the wild (Perth, Australia) - and hence disagree with DP's rarity of R1 :P

From Savers:
Complete Sega Dreamcast - Console, cables, two controllers and two VMU's for...well...
Kinda funny how I got it: The DC was in a glass cabinet where I couldn't see the price. I asked one of the help to pull it out so I could find out what the price was. It was listed at $40. Before I could even say anything, the girl who pulled it out looks over at the manager and says, "Hey, this is priced for $40 and they go for $30 brand new. Can I mark it down?" Manager nods approval and turns away. The girl looks at me and says, "How about $14?" Sputtering in shock, I took it.
Hell, Bira Bira practically threw this thing at me. :D Now I have two: One up and running, one bagged in a travel and ready for the road. Sweetness.

The "Escape Pod"? Ack! You named your game-room! You now are setting the standard of which we all have to live by - we all will now need to name our gamer rooms! Great, now I'm going to have to think up one tonight.
